I was actually responding to a post where someone said the band screwed you over. I should have quoted, sorry.
The interview I'm talking about us hoping you get is SP.

Hey?!?!? When did I become a crowd?

I was merely trying to point out the hypocrisy, as people let past behaviors go with every other lead singer prior, and I was only trying to suggest that people let the issues from June, 2007 with JSS go already - he has moved on, but they can't seem to let things go over there and constantly seem to refer to Journey's "behavior" as a band, even though we're not privy to their business decisions ... So, it seems as though my original post was a bit misconstrued ... Its okay to overlook the previous issues by previous vocalists (SP, SA), yet the band is continually being bashed and criticized for their handling of the JSS issue, and Arnel is being criticized for things beyond his control, and for racist reasons, to boot, which totally sucks ...
I'm saying that, in spite of the 10-year gap w/ Perry and the "forced hiatus", I'm still a fan of his, as I am a fan of the SA era, and the JSS era when he played live with them (I saw him 4X on that tour - he must have done something right for me to keep going back) ...
It just seems like nobody could get past what the band did in a "business sense," some 14 months later and the negativity is really just saddening ...
Nothing more, nothing less ... Let's not overanalyze everything and dissect this to a microcosm, when it was really the "macro" sentiment that I was aiming for ... No need to be so sensitive over this ...

I have, unfortunately, spent the last several posts trying to clarify something which was not so major to begin with ..
I wish you and everyone wouldn't take such offense, as none was seriously intended ...
And no, I'm not "pissing down my leg" and standing down because I'm afraid of anyone ... I don't know you or anyone here anyway ...
I happen to be friends offline, with a # of people from this board, personally, so I know my level of Journey-fandom is okay ...
Again, it is unfortunate that you, Lora, Cyndy, and everyone else are offended, as none was really intended, on a personal level to anyone ...
I only referenced your name in my first post as a double-entendre, and a joke, meant in humour, not with any malice ... that whole post was meant in sarcastic humour ...
Michael
where did i say that i was offended? i merely made an observation that those who were responding to your posts each seemed to be interpreting it in a different way. i never gave my opinion of the contents of your posts.

UM...there is no hypocrisy.
Enigma869 wrote:I don't really get your point, dude! You're bitching about someone on another board being critical of this incarnation of Journey. At the end of the day, some people are simply tired of the ENDLESS incarnations of the band with the same name, and a new lead singer, every 20 minutesIf that's how someone truly feels, that's their right. The other thing I think is worth mentioning is that some people make statements for no other reason, but effect! Some people just like stirring the pot. That said, if you love the current version of the guys calling themselves Journey, that's your right. If someone else doesn't care for these guys, that's their right. As someone previously mentioned in this thread...if you want endless ass kissing and sucking up to all things Journey, www.journeymusic.com is the place you want to visit. The shit gets so thick over there, you need a shovel to dig your way out! In the meantime, other boards actually allow people to have their own opinions, even if others don't agree with those opinions!

Who are we talking about? I have it narrowed down to Howie Simon and Gary Schutt.![]()

The original rant did have anti-Perry and anti-JSS comments. You ask for respect for Arnel then make scathing remarks against these two tallented gentlemen. I don't give a rip who you like or do not like. That is a personal thing. But understand if you throw slings and arrows some will come back.
