OT: Been blessed with an angel

Postby Blueskies » Sun Aug 24, 2008 10:37 am

Some of y'all requested that I give an update when my first grandchild was born....
...I've been real busy with family and finishing a mural I'm painting in the baby's room....and the weather has been rough around here for a couple days but I've finally gotten a chance to upload a few pic's and make the announcement.

My son and daughter in law have given me the greatest gift ever......a beautiful baby girl!
She was born the 7th and weighed in at 7lbs 6 oz. and 19 1/4 in. long....she's very alert and holds her head up already!
I love her so much...and being a grandma is GREAT! :D

Congratulations Phyllis. You look like a happy Grandma in the pic. I'm very happy for you. Your granddaughter is beautiful.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Thanks, Rick! I had just driven 12 and 1/2 hours through the night to get here for her birth so I was a mess in that pic...but who cares....it's the first time I held her and I was thrilled! Yep, very happy....and everyone's been saying what a beauty she is. They named her Zaria...which is a Russian name meaning "goddess of beauty" so it apply suits her. :D

You don't look old enough to be a gramma, P.

May God Bless you, your daughter, and the little one!
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night
Their fat and psychopathic wives
Would thrash them within inches of their lives!

awe.......thats sweet of you to say :) ...I'm 48...old enough to be grandma and still young enough to hopefully keep up with her and teach her a few things as she grows.....for one thing I plan on taking her scuba diving as soon as she's old enough ....well..I won't force her to go..only if she wants to.

Thank you, Daniel! God bless you and your son as well. :)

Congratulations on the baby. :)

 no...no chance of that happening...don't have a cat...I'm allergic to cats. I buy large bags of dog food for my collie, though.....don't know what that indicates.....that I can still lift and carry 20 to 50 lbs?....well...don't know how much longer but I still can at this point. .......thanks 8)
