If I could have 24 hours with Steve Perry, I'd say "thank you for putting your heart and soul into your music, and all of it that you have shared with us". Then spend the rest of the time cooking, talking and (hopefully) singing with him.
What I would like to do is X-rated and not going to be shared![]()

It would be this guy:
(no one knew I would say THAT, right?)
I don't know what'd I'd say. For one, I'd dispense with all the ass kissing about how his music did this and and that and healed my broken arm with just one note and cured my ailing hamster... blah blah. That's not me. And he's heard that a million times anyway. Not that I wouldn't express my appreciation... but I'd do it one short sentence and move on.
I'd hang out and talk him the same way I hang out and talk to you people... like a bud,and by the end of the day he will have laughed a lot. Simple as that.
(this is all in a perfect world where I'd actually be able to talk like a human being and not a starstruck dumbass)

You stole my answer but for different reasons. I would like to hear his stories especially from the business side of things. John Toomey, Irving Azoff and maybe John Baruck I would also like to hang out with. Of course, Jon Cain would be a fun guy to hang around with too.

Instead, he endured harsh criticism from band members and fans for what seemed to be a case of selfishly isolating himself when everyone still wanted to hear him sing.
As far as the rest of the band, I can't really think of anything I would want to ask them. I might ask Neal to give me a few guitar lessons.

If he would have just came clean about his vocal problems, everyone would have been much more understanding and sympathetic to his plight.

He would tell you to go f-ck yourself after that first question, and rightly so. That day would be OVAH!

So what would you do with the other 23 hours and 59 minutes?

Personally, I wouldn't want to sit around talking about Journey and drama why he did or didn't or will or won't do this or that. He's a person. I need to assume he's got the ability to talk about other things and wouldn't necessarily even want to answer a bunch of questions about the past.
"Dude... Stone in Love is my favorite song ever. Thanks for that. Where makes decent burgers around here? Let's go get one, I'll buy." And there you go.
