WHY would anyone WANT to be president? Seriously, what possesses someone to run?

Do they actually think shit is going to get done? Do the american people seriously believe anything any of these hacks says?

Once they get in - they forget about the constituency...which is the WHOLE FUCKING COUNTRY!

Of course most electees are friggin' rolling in it to begin with but STILL...a presidency is parlayed into more money-making chances after they are out of office. Can THIS be the reason?

I'm genuinely wondering WHY these fucks run for office.....Is it an EGO thing? But again, nothing gets done. We still have drugs, we still have unemployment. Homeless. Deficit. Deplorable infrastructure. Fat Cat politicians, scratching each other's backs. No serious campaign reform. Super-size government. A shell of a healthcare system. A good-old boy justice system.

So it begs the question.....Why would ANYONE want to be prez?!

EGO...EGO...And EGO! It's really not any more complicated than that! All politicians are full of themselves, so it only makes sense to aspire to the highest office in the land!

Perhaps because they're name will go down in history books as being one of the Presidents of the United States. But I know it goes deeper then that. It's their thing, that's what they like to do. They probably wonder the same thing about musicians.

Could it be the continuation of a dream from when the candidate was an innocent doe eyed kid? Naaa, it's all about power and control.

I'd like to think it's about someone that sees an opportunity to help his country and it's citizens, but then reality floods the brain and that notion seems peurile.

Perhaps the President should be elected via a national raffle, open only to conservative white men. Sort of like the draft...and the only way out of office would be to NOT get involved in any scandals in his first four years in office.
