RUSH to perform on "The Colbert Report" on 7/16

Postby dabstudio » Wed Jul 16, 2008 10:50 am

RUSH is scheduled to perform "Tom Sawyer" on Wednesday's edition (7/16) of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report." It will mark the rock trio's first TV appearance since 1975, according to a press release.

The band is currently finishing up its "Snakes & Arrows Live Tour," an outing that kicked off in April with the release of a double-CD of the same title, which was recorded last October at the Netherlands' Ahoy Rotterdam arena.

Well, the host managed to fuck up the performance. They did Tom Sawyer. First he ran out onto the stage during Neil's big drum "moment," becoming a huge distraction, then after more of his inane babbling, they cut(!) to commercial, and missed the last part of the song. They offered to do the commercial before the song but chose to do the song instead. :x
