OT: Patriots Are DONE!

Postby Enigma869 » Mon Sep 08, 2008 3:34 am

For all of you Patriot haters, it's time to celebrate! The Pats are DONE! Brady is out of the game with what looks to be a serious knee injury. No official word yet, but based on my personal experience, looks to be an ACL injury. If that's the case, he's done for the season, and the Patriots won't win 5 games. Looks like the Jets are winning the AFC East!

Holy shit. Sorry to hear that J from B. Very sad news for the Pats and their fans.

The Patriots' backup QB is Matt Cassell. He's fucking DREADFUL. If Brady is done for the season (and if I were a betting man, I would bet he is), the Patriots will get a VERY high draft pick next season, and may finish with a worst record than Miami!

Well that may not be too bad. Miami just scored a touchdown and it's all tied up. Although, the pass was almost picked off.

I'm a closet Dolphin fan. :D

**scratching head** riiiiiiiiiiight..

If Seattle actually knew how to manage a Nfl play clock, or how not to throw interceptions in crucial territory or actually make tackles on 75 yard runs then yes...they won.

Anger Anger Anger...well...I for one am saddened that Brady went down. He is a TREMENDOUS athelete and deserves respect for his accomplishment.

Yes as a big mouth Steeler fraud who despises the Pats, I am sorry to hear this.

It will make the Pats an also ran though. Them is the breaks sometimes.

You realize that the Chiefs are probably the worst team in the NFL, right???? Geez...you sound like my wife with this "Hey, they won without Brady" nonsense. I'm telling you right now...If Brady is done for the season (and I think he is), the Patriots won't win 6 games! Brady is soooooooo much better than any other QB in the league (and yes, I include Manning, Romo, et al.) that he makes that big of a difference on the field. He's the most poised QB I've seen on a football field, since Joe Montana. The Patriots are a VERY average (and I believe below average) team without Brady. For what it's worth, the Colts wouldn't win 5 games without Manning, either. Backup QB's in the NFL are generally backups for a reason. The Patriots are in trouble against the Jets next week (which I can't even beleive I'm saying). Even though the Jets should have thumped Miami (who is on par with KC, in terms of futility) today, I still think the Jets will get MUCH better, with each passing week, and Favre's comfort level with the offense.

AFC East with Tom Brady on the shelf

1. Jets 10-6
2. Buffalo 9-7
3. New England 5-11
4. Miami 4-12

ohn from Boston

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one and they usually stink. :P

Brady is good. Hate Bellechek, but Brady is a class act. Hope this injury is not as bad as they think...Peyton needs the competition.

Wow, that's a damn shame. I hope he bounces back when he's ready. I hate to see anyone go down like that.

It sure does, sadly. They were certainly odds on favorites to reclaim their crown.

This is true...from what I saw on at least one Patriots forum, even their fans were surprised.
