What's Arnel's Status?

Postby Aaron » Mon Sep 08, 2008 2:53 am

Folks,

What is the status of Arnel over the last two shows? I know he's been sick but I haven't seen any recent info on how he's feeling and sounding. I'm trying to sort out what to expect for Wednesday's show.

Thanks,

Aaron

I'm heading to Indy on Wednesday, too. Can't wait. I'm hoping that Arnel is back in top early-tour form. I heard some YouTube clips from the last couple of shows and he sounds better, although high notes he had no trouble reaching earlier were kind of difficult for him in the clips I saw. We'll see, I guess. I'd like to hear a first-hand review from Toronto or Cleveland.

It appears that he's getting more assistance from Deen also. 19 more shows to go.

Last nights show was electrifying! Arnel was ALL over the stage...the other guys were having a BLAST. Neal, Jon, Ross and Deen were all smiles.

The crowd was amazing...no one left during the new material or the more obscure material. The place supposedly holds 20,000 but it was probably closer to 23,000 packed in there.

AWESOME show and Arnel was on fire!

Deen helped last night where he always does...on the high harmonies and backing vox...that's it. Last nights show was ALL Arnel, and he NAILED IT!

You heard right. First hand review here...
He sounded great and made me tired just watching him fly around like Batman.

If he was still ill, I couldn't tell. You Cincinnati folks are gonna love it.

Arnel's status = KICKING A!!! Stu was right - not a better show nor time to be had. :). I could tell Arnel knew he had friends in the front row, and he REALLY put something into his performance for them! And to me, one point I reached out to shake his hand and he took it for 5-6 seconds and sang right to me... Too cool! Mrs. Rokken made the big screen a few times, too. We'll look for them on YouTube when we return.

I know exactly what you mean, Rip.

We were front row at the Vegas and Nashville shows and Arnel truly knew he had friends there. He must have held our out reached hands for at least 5 or so seconds and he looked as though he truly appreciated us and showed his his love back. Just love this man!

We were on the YouTube, front row in front of Neal, that Valerie posted...pretty cool.

Oh, and when we had the opportunity to speak to him at the M&G's where he was present, he looks you right in your eye when he says, "it's an honor to meet you".

I hope he knows we feel it's our honor to meet him!
