Indianapolis traffic report

Postby conversationpc » Thu Sep 11, 2008 10:03 am

OK...It's really Noblesville, so it kinda irks me that they call it Indianapolis. Anyway...

Though I'm not going to the show tonight, I just got home and am happy to report that the traffic heading into the venue is extremely heavy. I-69 was backed up all the way to the IN-37 exit and Greenfield Ave., the main drag heading into Verizon from the west, was backed up past our neighborhood, which is only about a mile away. This is only the 2nd or 3rd time this year I can remember that happening, so that means this show is being well attended. I drove down as close as I could to the venue without getting stuck in traffic and I could hear some music coming from the venue, so I assume that was Cheap trick. My guess is that Heart is probably either playing now or getting ready to come onstage.

I may head outside later on and see if I can catch a few songs from Journey.

Ok, and the reason you're not in the show is?

1 - I just got home and can't leave my daughter home by herself (not taking her with me to sniff all the pothead smoke).
2 - Budget constraints (always happens this time of the year)
3 - I haven't been too hot on going to the show anyway.

They performed Feeling That Way/Anytime at the extended Detroit show. Maybe they'll be dusting that one off a little more often. :D
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Nope...Just stepped outside, though, and it sounds like they're playing "After All These Years".

Played it tonight in a regular 100-minute set. It got a great reaction from the crowd. Arnel and Cain harmonizing and trading parts at the end of Anytime was awesome to see. The crowd was really digging it. I hope it stays. They did a great job with it. See my longer review in the thread that says "Indy...incredible."
