Nah, above average.

Except the all-time great QB's do! 3000 yards in a season is only 187 yards per game. Would you want that production on your fantasy team?

He was well over 3000 yards for most of the years that he passed that mark. Once he became a full-timer and avoided injury, he was a good QB.

I simply said that he was the least talented QB to ever be inducted.

I would submit that Terry Bradshaw was a far worse QB than Aikman was.

Absolutely. That said, if that's your position, then it is also true that Simms had FAR more opportunities than most NFL QB's to put touchdowns on the scoreboard, and failed miserably at it!

Not necessarily. They use the passing game to get them down the field and then pound the ball in via the running game. I'd have to look up their numbers, though.

Let me preface my comments by saying we don't disagree that Terry Bradshaw also isn't in the top 50 QB to ever play the game. Having said that, Bradshaw at least passed for more than 20 TD's 4 times in his career, while Aikman only did it once! Aikman had better passing yards, but Bradshaw has the 4 rings, so the advantage goes to Bradshaw. I still think both guys sucked (and no, I don't think that's too strong of a word). Trent Dilfer and Doug Williams are the only proof that anyone ever needs that a team can win Super Bowls, without a great QB!
