So I said I would leave and not return and would only return if JSS left the band just because I was being crude and immature. JSS was gone so I was back.. As YoungJRNY this time. YoungJRNY because I wanted to wipe that rude YoungJRNY fan away since it's not how I roll, and because I'm the youngest Journey fan I knew at the time. I was 18, now 20. (Since then the "YoungJRNYfans'"started rising, HAHA!)

I love this board and proud to say I am an MR'er. Might not be as crazy, but I'm a proud MR'er lol. Lets hear some more.

PS- PROG, you pussied out on us in CLEVE!!!! what's the deal?!?!?

my name was swept away during identity crisis week too. i changed it to Dulce Lady in honor of JSS ROCKS week one time. It had been GirLikeYou for y-e-a-r-s..........a song from Neal's PIRANHA BLUES album. the song was about me so I figured why not. :P Dulce Lady is about me too. :P it is a bonus track on JSS' Lost In The Translation cd--hence my location.

but, before that, I was momflute from when AOL 1st started up. I had a large flute studio with approx. 30 private students and a houseful of my personal children, hence the name. I still am both of them in several places.

and I'm just plain CRAZY all the time so there ya go.

Hmm...interesting. Now I dig even those parentheses lol...and I'm no longer lost on your location  .

Just curious. Which rock music that Sunday...Journey's included?

I did a thread like this over at the Journey forum back in May..

I sang in choir in high school as well as taking voice class. I am far from a soaring tenor like Arnel btw LOL

Hearing a great vocalist live rocks my world...Much like when I heard Ann Wilson from Heart...She was spot on the night we saw Heart in Cuse with Journey. It was the best vocal live I have ever heard live in my life...and that is a lot of concerts! lol

I can't stand to listen to a bad voice, anyone off key, off tempo, ect...

I also thought it made sense since we're here to have conversations. At the time I made the name up, about eight years ago, I don't think I had the option to use the entire title, hence the abbreviated "pc" at the end, which some have mistakenly taken for "P.C." as in a computer or "politically correct", which I am obviously not.

Mine is simple. I love art, and I have respect for Steve Perry and his music. It seemed he suffers a great deal of bashing in alot of forums. I just wanted to use a name that showed him we do not all feel that way.

Ooo, now you're asking - it was 1986, we were 14, and I'd taken her with me to my cousin's 17th Birthday party on Saturday night. We stayed the night there, and sometime after midnight (when my aunt & uncle went to bed) she had her first drink, I think her first smoke, and got snogged by one of the guys there. Then the next day (well, technically later the same day) we just hung out at my place, and I played her a stack of music, which she really dug. The verdict was that the snog was ok, but the music was better, and we both decided that any boy had to be cooler than the music to get a look in. Funnily enough, not a lot of 14 or 15 year olds matched up, so it was pretty quiet on the dating scene for the next two years

Music - well, not Journey, sorry. Didn't know about them then, they just didn't impact over here. Er, quickly reviewing what I was listening to then, definately a-ha, Cyndi Lauper, AC-DC, The Church, Bangles, Hoodoo Gurus, Simple Minds and Madness. I think that was the day I introduced her to Metallica (if not then, within the next week) for which her uber-conservative-Christian parents branded me spawn of Satan. Probably Dead Kennedys, The Tubes, Sex Pistols, Black Flag, Devo and The Clash, 'cause I remember raiding my youngest uncle's record collection and the shit he gave me when I got busted. Don't know if it was that particular day, but certainly within the month I got her into Sting, U2, Megadeth. Pink Floyd, Van Halen, David Lee Roth, Hawkwind, Marillion, Eurythmics, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, Go-Betweens, The Cure, Dire Straits, They Might Be Giants, Bronski Beat, XTC, and Talking Heads.

Eclectic little f*ck, wasn't I? 8)
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Blueskies represents seeing the beauty that is there around us in the world ...in nature, in others... in spirit within the heart that which is not seen but felt.. although we can begin to visualize what is felt as well if we allow ourselves to.........and it represents remaining optimistic......to look at life as a beautiful blue sky....vast and open with endless realms of possibility.....where dreams can begin and be achieved with belief ...where we can move past our fears that keep us grounded and soar on the wings of eagles....and when clouds appear to cut off our vision...we can't let them hinder us...they may look dense but they are only vapors so they really can't block our way....to always realize that the clear blue is still there above them so take wing and sail through.

My name is my name!
One of the coolest songs ever with some of the most kick-ass lyrics ever that my life's goal is to be amazing enough to emulate.
My Momma is a cool chick. She held onto that name for 7 years waiting on a baby girl to name after that song. 8)

My name when I joined was Blue Radio Girl... cause I worked in radio... "Blue Ridge Radio" was our moniker... and I'm a girl. So generic. :P
