OT: My answer to high gas prices

Postby Triple S » Sun Sep 14, 2008 4:04 am

He he - we just won this thing (we never win anything :o ).

Phone rings at 9:00 this morning, call display says it's one of the local liquor stores. I'm thinking - OK, the husband didn't pay his bill  ) Calling to tell him he won this - mine now - he's weighs too much  . He already has his ride (thus the hand holding the Harley sign).

Charging it up and gonna take the baby for a ride on this nice sunny day (I can only go 10 miles on the charge  ) Hey - I could actually ride it to work.)

I'd like to win one of those! My car died and went to junkyard. I saw something like that online and it ran around $300. Is it street legal?

In my area, there's a question about golf carts and them not being street legal. A ticket can be given and I think someone said the ticket is around $150 here.

I'm not sure about the street legal thing. I think as long as I stick to non-major roads here I'll be fine (not much regard for laws here anyway - see my Neighbors From Hell thread  ). Plus I don't think it's very speedy - I'll let you know that after I go for my ride!

 Says it holds riders up to 150 lbs, and I'm far below that, so I guess we'll see what happens!

I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

I don't know how much I weigh 'cause I don't have a scale. I think I saw that advertised at Fingerhut and the picture showed a younger girl on it so I got the idea its for the younger crowd.

I just walked a little over a mile to the store and the same back home...I am definitely looking for some form of transport! :?

. . . or the young at heart :) . Definitely not something an old bat like me would've ever thought to buy, but hey - it was free - I'll give it a try!

I've wanted one of those. Would be really nice since I live close enough to work not to drive, but not in an easily biked area (hills)

Congrats, I'm jealous!
