Where do some of you crazed Arnel fanatics come up with
this stoopid shit??? This has got to be the most retarded post I've seen
in awhile... no wonder I don't post much anymore...

No ! do you know the difference between a theory and a fact. Can you address The theory and not the writer? apparently not.conversationpc wrote:annpea wrote:Wouldn't it be amazing, if Steve Perry were in some way still working with Journey; maybe behind the scene working with Arnel to recreate the Journey legacy sound. Did you somehow get sucked into an alternate world where you became part of a Roadrunner & Coyote cartoon and have an anvil dropped on your head?
Good, point I hear you saying that Arnel is his own man and capable of creating the legacy sound on his own. Thus this theory is not possible.brywool wrote:Journey's latest success as nothing to do with Perry. The credit should go to Arnel.

Na, hell would freeze over if SP was involved with JRNY again. Stick a fork in it, he's done!

Then by all means, tell me what you consider non retarded to decuss on a board about, a band long past its prime. A band kept alive in the hearts of a few hundred thousands in a world of hundreds of millions of people. Time will and has passed them by years ago. I say God bless them for wanting to keep; going on against all odds and milking that last dollar from our babyboomer hands. The memories are so thick I could cut them with a knife that's what this band pass their prime does for me; I like many others have spent my dollars on them too and I like many others know very well that this whole thing with them now is based on the blood, sweat and tears of a man who by using his voice made them all wealthy beyond belief. Were they bad people then ? I say no, They were young people with all the foolish ways that young people have in their youth, are they bad people now? I say no, and it is not unreasonable to think with age wisdom has also come into the picture. Is he making money off this deal? hell yeah! and isn't it possible that he would do what it takes to keep making money just as the others are doing? hell yeah. Business before bullshit my friend. Oh yeah! you're still a LDB.Carlitto H@kk wrote:annpea wrote:No ! do you know the difference between a theory and a fact. Can you address The theory and not the writer? apparently not.
Your retort to me was pretty comical. Especially the "Bitch" part![]()
What a hoot!
But I will respond to this snippet...
I, and Dave for that matter, were responding to your
"theory", never assumed it was fact and I, personally, still
think it is one of the most retarded post I've read in a long time.
So, basically, I answered your question of what I thought of your theory;
it's assinine, retarded and gave me a good chuckle![]()
BTW, I'd rather use my brain as a hat rack than a nut-sack drop zone...
Bee-yotch![]()
Damn, you silly Arnel fanatics crack me up!
Gunbot wrote:No, Perry doesn't have a hand in anything. Perry makes money just living life. I was thinking about it this morning. John from Boston had mentioned an exBoston Band member still living comfortably off the royalties from the band. Even with all their financial issues, which I think are overblown, Jon, Neal, Ross and Perry really don't have to work at all. Look at the Greatest Hits package, the old members along with Rolie, Dunbar and Smitty are still getting checks from SONY. Now Deen get's a little from the other albums he was on with Augeri but in the long run, I expect more original music to come from the band. It would be in Arnel's best interest to get some song writing credits on the next album so once his journey ends he can have his his own royalties coming in to take care of himself and his family.
To sum it up, Perry's legacy makes so much income for him that he doesn't have to do anything with the band except for remastering the older stuff for Sony which just gives him even more cash. The big nail in the coffin was redoing the hits. Any chance of Perry's involvement was permanently axed when the retreads were released. Even Cain said he didn't want to do them but it is what it is.
Nice dream, now go take a shower.
now, that would be a great thing for them to do.StocktontoMalone wrote:I don't pretend to know all the ins and outs with the band....and I'm not one of these fools who pine away for SMFP's return to the fold.......BUT.....I can't help thinking, AT LEAST, for a Perry/Cain WRITING team again.....even if he doesn't SING his songs.....at least the WRITING could be back.
Just saying

What they needed to do was take him out behind the barn kick his butt, put him back on stage and everytime he start acting out Neal could have held his foot up and wiggled it at him with a smile.artist4perry wrote:Interesting theory. Not plausible. Steve and Journey have had too much bad blood between them. Now as for Steve going out on his own.......possible. As for Arnel improving due to lots of practice on the road, and newly gained confidence........most likely cause. He is a truely talented singer. So is Steve. But I think the roads are far from crossing at this time. Case in point the infamous GQ article! Best at this point we can hope for is solo work from Steve, and Journey continuing on the present course.
