Ouch!
A little less yelling, please. I wonder if Arnel has listened to Captured? I don't want him to be a Perry clone but his pacing is all over the place, still an A for effort. :D

Man I dont know if we are hearing the same things here but Arnel is having issues with his higher range and pitch. I just hope that it is because it is his 1st tour. I really think they need to consider dropping the key one half step to keep Arnel from blowing out... I cant imagine what he would have sounded like 10-15 years ago but it seems to be that would have been the best time for him to cover such a diverse catalog. Thsi reminds me a bit of ROR era Perry singing pre 1980 material... Not terrible but passable..... Arnel is awesome on most things but I think vocally he is a little over his prime and damnit....

He is singing so forcefully that I just cant imagine him being able to keep that up....

I Agree 100% If these songs gave Perry vocal nodes hence the raspiness in the late 80's and it gave Augeri nodes, surely Arnel will get them if they don't take it easy. It's a shame that this catalog equals death to anyone who sings it for a long period of time cause they are incredible songs.

I wasnt crazy about it. The first part looked like Friga didnt have a shirt on. After I puked, I heard Friga trying to sing again. Yuk.This song didnt complement the band or Arnel.Journey has a great lead singer, they dont need Frigas ass in there. Most people take a piss on these two songs. Put some new tunes in there, and take that mic away from Friga. They did it better years back with Stevea cause friga sang a little better, and Steve A sang it for 2 years before I ever heard it. No slam on Arnel Why are they rehashing everything WTF??

I thought Arnel's part was alright.. a little pitchy here and there but otherwise not bad. As for Cain.. I never did care much for his singing. :?
Like I said earlier, I would've preferred to hear the song live.

The video sound quality isn't all there.

I thought Arnel's vocal was excellent and he was taking the songs up a few notches (especially at the end with that run)..Just have to ignore the instruments and backround noise to hear. Almost like you are listening with ear plugs on, then that takes all the frequency away and you can hear each note everyone is singing and playing :)

Glad I'm not the only one that noticed that. He gave the songs a bit of his own stamp...taking them higher in spots than even Perry did. While they still didn't have the depth that Perry gave them, he had some awesome runs in that song...wow. :D And like you said, they were better live.
