Almost brought a tear to my eye. I can see Tito now mopeing around in his pink teddy holding his "Hello Kitty" listening to Friga s version of Faithfully over and over again.Even seeing the shrink again didnt even help.He finished his last bowl of Fruit Loops, drank his last sipper cup of pink lemonade, took a bubble bath, then wrote his blog. Although he shouldnt have mentioned me, I hope Andrew lets him back in soon.I always like to tease him like I did with my little sister. He cant help that he is a little slower than most.

If you are going to throw yourself on someone's mercy, starting with "I have done nothing wrong" ain't the way to go about it.

From the PR pros, when trying to turn around a public screw-up:

1. People want you to admit wrongdoing. Full-blown mea culpa is best.
2. People want to see that you are suffering over your mistake.
3. People want to see SINCERE remorse.
4. After a suitable period of the above, if you ask forgiveness, you just might get it.

I have a pretty good guess.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

My vocabulary has certainly grown since I joined MR.

I know what ornery means now, and what a sipper cup is.
Who knew it would be a place of education.

Glad to hear that.

I do think the alcohol might hinder your excellent progress on the odd occasion, though - but that's great too. I'm learning how to read beer talk!
see, this place IS educational!

That's all true. The "victim routine" doesn't work.

This is not to say anything specifically re: Tito or this situation (I didn't really follow the whole thing that close in that thread so I'm not going to comment about it as that's not fair), I'm just commenting in general on Fu's post...

People who are vociferous about being victims are usually the ones who are incapable of taking responsibility for anything else in their lives which is partly why people don't feel sorry for them. I call them "eternal victims" and I rarely pay attention to it. "Blah blah the world is against me again and I don't deserve it." Whatever. No one is infallible, so people who never ever seem to make any mistakes or are always crying foul are full of shit. (again, that doesn't apply to Tito... I realize this is a first occurance so that is in no way directed at him)
