I like that he can perform different stuff well.

I love many Artists and Bands, and I do have a varied taste in styles. And I do tend to get bored with a whole album by the same Artist if they are all similar songs, that's why I have always made my own compilations.
And I enjoy a live show much more if the songs performed are a wide variety of styles.

I have only seen JSS once, when he played the UK with Journey, and I would love to see him with his band doing the solo show.
I am gutted that I can't get to this year's Firefest because I think I would really enjoy his show, because I think he will play a really varied set.

Variety is good IMO.
Especially when the singer has soul. [eh, Deb? ]

Me too! I absolutely love Jeff's voice and to hear him sing a whole range of things has just been fantastic. I dig that about the album too. I have so enjoyed listening to all he has done throughout his career. That man does indeed have soul.

The album is fantastic.

I have to miss Firefest because we have gigs booked. It's at a venue 30 minutes drive from us, but it's over a weekend and that's when we get most of our bookings.
Can't afford to cancel work, and I am deeply upset because I could have gotten to see JSS's band, and Tall Stories and Hugo.

But - work comes first.

I still prefer Self employment to working for a company, however.

me too!! but sometimes my boss is a PsychoBit**!!

Linda and I will be there a week. and some of our stomps have fallen through.

we need to talk. this may have possibilities...

Getting back to JSS's album, I absolutely love it! I like the fact that it doesn't sound like a melodic rock album, although I love melodic rock. I think the sound is fresh, new, and it's catchy. Gin and Tonic Sky, Broken Man, Our Song, Hey...... a lot of good stuff here! I haven't had a chance to check the video out. I'll do that when I get home. This stuff could easily be played on top 40 radio stations.

a) 1000 plays a day, congrats!

b) It's about 1 min too long. Needs to kick out around the 3:10 mark. Starts to get repetitive. Radio won't usually play anything longer than 3:30.
