Totally agree........and this is coming from a major Bon Jovi fan. I watched the dvd and listened to the cd once when I first bought it and haven't touched it since. :? LOL, but did play a few hands of poker with the boys in the extra features on the dvd.

That's a great album, no need to be ashamed about owning that. I had that and "Fantastic" (The Japanese version).

I agree w/ GB. This is a great album. "Everything she wants" is one of my guilty pleasures. If I have to choose between this album and the "Music from the Edge of Heaven", I chose the former. Careless Whisper made Brooke Shields drop her panties for George Michael. If only I have the power to write a song that will make a chick do that...

I doesnt matter if Brooke Sheilds would drop her panties for George, he named his group Wam, cause he liked to to be wammed in his poop chute

I still think the retreads on Evolution are an embarassment. I love the 'live' feel of be good to yourself on the retread disc....but other than that one aspect, the rest of the disc is complete and utter shite. It should have never been done...and all it has done is carve in stone Arnel's inferiority to Steve Perry....a very unwise move by them. Pinoy pimps and apologists can argue left and right about their assumption that Perry can't sing this material anymore and another assumption that arnel today is better than Perry today...

However, the fact remains that by rerecording these songs for revelation, they've carved in stone a direct comparison between arnel today and perry of yesterday.....and that's like bringing an exacto knife to a 50 caliber machine gun fight...

Agreed....Arnel is great on his own-the retreads are useless. That discs sits here on my desk, I'm not sure what I want to do with it. I should just throw it in the fucking street.

I still haven't played the re records.
As you say Arnel is great on the new songs. They are his own.
I'm just not interested in hearing the others - and if they hadn't been part of the new CD package I would not have them on my shelf.

Susie, . GEER wasn't terribly good, but I absolutely LOVE London Calling- I think it's one of the finest albums ever made. I know you Hair metal folks will flog me for that, but great music is great music, no matter what the genre.

HOWEVER- I actually bought the Clash's CUT THE CRAP on the same day I bought Blue Oyster Cult's CLUB NINJA!
WORST two purchases ever, and I made 'em on the SAME DAY!!!!

Hands down, it has to be Dokken's "Shadowlife". Being a long-time fan of theirs, tickled to death that they were back together, and I enjoyed the previous one "Dysfunctional", I bought it blind. It was after that first listen of that turd of an album, that I swore to never... EVER... buy without listening first again.

An absolute, bloody awful album! :x

Starting to regret Jorn Lande's new album. I just can't get going with it. Too many slow mid tempo songs. Wish he would do more fast stuff. The songs seem to be rewrites of the stuff on the Duke...which was a great album. I can't remember anything from the new album and I've played it several times. I might get it later..there's albums I've bought that I've fallen love with much later. His albums never have any bass guitar up in the mix either. It's like it's non-existant.

Metallica - St Anger. What a piece of garbage. When they actually tried to defend it the sound quality by saying that's what we were going for. You don't pay Bob Rock millions of dollars to make a record sound as if it was recorded in a trash can. I think Oscar the Grouch could have made a better sounding record.

Songs are better on the new one, but it's been compressed to hell and back and sounds loud and flat. The Guitar Hero version is better than their own album. These dudes have lost their way. Jason saw it coming which is why he bolted.

I don't know about the new album but everything since the Black Album has been crap compared to what came before it.

This will piss several of you off, but here it goes...

SOUL SIRKUS!!!

I wanted to like it so bad because of Neal, but I think it was just a bad album. It seemed to me that the most distracting thing were the vocals...it's like they tried to see how many words they could cram into every line, and it didn't leave any room to get a feel for the music. JMHO, but I think it sucked! I seriously haven't even seen the cd since the first day I played it.

I'm also worried about the collaberation with Lukather...I hope that one doesn't turn out anything like this, but I'm not holding my breath!

I regret buying "A Closer Look" by Babyface. "For The Cool In You" was just a fantastic album, and I thought maybe he was like Freddie Jackson, who cannot make a bad R&B album in my eyes. A Closer Look was a major disappointment in every way, songs, sound, mix. Never got through the second listening of it.

Two huge musical disappointments.

The real question is, does Journey regret making this VERY VERY poor CD.

I'M IN YOU! How could I forget that?? God, that sucked. After Frampton Comes Alive was such a great rock record and then that one... ughhgghghghghghgh!
I DO remember it having a good Stevie Wonder song on it thought, but that was IT.

Asia... were they EVER any good? Blech!

Never 'got' The Clash either. I'm probably still pissed by their line about "phony Beatlemania" (hey, nobody disses the fabs!)

I can't believe I actually spent ten hard-earned bucks on this one:

And the tour was an unmitigated disaster, what with John Tesh's keytar and xylophone solos getting mixed up with the taxi depot's radio at the Capital City Train Station Lounge....
