The Forgotten Three:Next,Look Into The Future,Journey.

who here ever listens to these 'lost treasures'?

so much overlooked stuff from these albums like 'karma','of a lifetime','look into the future',etc.

I listen to the first three at least once every few months.

"Of a lifetime" and "Look Into the Future" are my two favorite rainy Saturday afternoon , feet up on the footstool, big bottle of beer in my left hand, Classic Rock Magazine in my right hand, I cant be bothered to worry about anything else in the world at this point in time songs

I love all three, as well as their subsequent live shows for each tour. I gotta say "Next" is my overall favorite pre-Perry album. 8)

each one of the CD's are on amazon for as low as three bucks and they have like twenty copies of each one..i don't have any of the three either at this point in time but thinking of getting them again because i had 'em all on cassette back in the 80's.NEXT is my favorite one too out of the whole bunch.

They actually hit my CD more often than some of the more prominent Journey releases.

But then, I've always been a HUGE Rolie fan.

If he were ever to return to this current line-up, it would be molten platinum !!! :D

(Bleev my fav is also Next)

Listen to them semi-frequently. Great musicianship on display on all three releases. :)

"Look Into the Future" is Journey's best song.

Journey is the band's best album.

Gregg Rolie's warm, smooth organ gets me hot and bothered.

Wonderful, WONDERFUL stuff and it's a pity the material rarely gets played live...

I'm a pretty big fan of "In My Lonely Feeling/Conversations" and "In the Morning Day."

What artists have put out albums very similar to Journey's debut? I can't get enough of it and would love to delve into similar stuff.

Yep...the first set of that Generations Tour was something that will never be seen again. Open with the beginning of People And Places, Kohoutek, Of A Lifetime, I'm Gonna Leave You, Nickel And Dime, Mystery Mountain, Hustler, Daydream, Somethin' To Hide and Patiently with Deen on vocals ( )...holy shit. I'm getting goosebumps just remembering what was happening on that stage for the first set of the Generations Tour.

...and I'm trying to forget what was happening (or not happening...) on that stage in the second set.

Listening to Deen sing the shit out of Daydream right now. Yeah man, glad I made it to three shows on that tour. I'm still hoping to meet up with you at some midwest show in the future - maybe if they add another leg to the tour this winter and it works out with school shit. Too bad you didn't make it to Noblesville and I didn't make it to any of the Ohio shows.

i don't remember... 'cept She's Gone Crazy and Ross doing Walks Like A Lady. I waited FOREVAH to hear a Ross solo and the fact that he sang too was ..........i'm speechless to this day. I was overloaded on that tour. (but I have room for more. ROSS!!! hello!!!)

no actually, I remember it like it was yesterday. one of the most amazing things I have ever seen or heard. has not been matched.

I love the first album!!!! one of my favorite albums of all time...
But the song, "I will find you" is a freaking masterpiece!!!

Those albums are greatly underated, the level of musicianship is off the chart! and Rolie is always going to be a B3 playing baddaddy!!!!
