Could be...but the ticket is for Journey. As long as Journey is going to be there, you can't get a refund even if Cheap Trick and/or Heart are not. I imagine there were a lot of pissed off Heart fans when the date was rescheduled and Heart said they were not going to be there.

Still, I'm hoping it's just a scheduling issue and another instance of a radio guy blowing hot air.

Because of the date change the ticket holders would have had an opportunity to get refunds on their tickets. The venue may kick and scream, but in the end they will give you a refund. Too many intangible to be argued around scheduling conflicts, work, travel arrangements, and babysitters.

As far as Arnel is concerned, the winter tour should be fine if they want to go out. I would imagine all band members are fatigued at this point. Aside from the cancelled show, due to illness, his voice has held up well. Every one of the singers on that tour's voice is tired. All of the clips sound great so far.

I hope that homesickness or personality conflicts have not gotten in the way for Arnel and this is just BS. I can't relate, but I always admired Jeremey for walking away because he knew he wouldn't be happy away from his family for this long. It takes a special person to see such a great professional and financial opportunity and not take it because, for them, it just wasn't right.

Fuck that DJ. In fact, I'll draft a short letter and tell him that myself. This has nothing to do with "bucking up." Arnel's body is having problems with the climate. That's not something you can simply "buck up" and fight. Furthermore, he was not afforded the shots we get as infants and is susceptible to many more viruses and illnesses than we are and it's showing. So before a DJ goes and spouts off that Arnel needs to "buck up" he should afford himself the luxury of knowing what the fuck he's talking about.

Unfortunately, commercial breaks did not allow enough time for the DJ to transcribe Arnel's entire health records. All that was said was word's out that he's feeling homesick and how he feels the job is a curse as well as a blessing (or whatever the RS quote was), and how Neal had to talk him out of quitting just before the first gig.

Not only is it not true, but if someone actually took the time to read the whole interview, it's clear Arnel was making fun of the fact that he had the nerves the first night and made a joke about not wanting to go out on stage. Pay attention.

I really don't think so. They are road warriors, but from everything I have read or heard they don't abuse themselves on the road. It's their job, they could probably go another 4 months. Augeri toured nonstop in the beginning as did Perry. They probably figured from Arnel's backround that he would be stronger than his predessesors, but it appears to be the opposite at this point. The weather in Japan is the same as the east coast so he better get his flu shots before they start the asian leg of the tour.

The DJ was obviously reading out of the RS article ("I told them I wanted to back out," says the 41-year-old Filipino vocalist, whom the band discovered on YouTube. "[Journey guitarist] Neal Schon told me, 'It's too late now.' He pushed me a little and said, 'Go. Go sing for us.").

I agree that the article's consistency and truthfulness is debatable.

There's no personality conflicts. Arnel always mentions how great the guys are when he talks on his website, and he always refers to them as the "Big Boys" affectionately. But he these last several weeks has mentioned that the tour has been grueling. Neal has said the same thing. The date was probably canceled and all is fine.

While I repect your opinion, I disagree. They have been on the road since June overseas and now here. They get broken up sleep and not that much to begin with. Days can be long with promotion, technicals, and the show. Anyone would be tired. Neal also said that they were all tired on the Concord CBS5 interview.

Here we go again. Another loose-lipped DJ runs his mouth and everyone flips out. This happens constantly in case no one has noticed. Remember last year when some DJ said Perry was returning to Journey? Or just recently when another one talked about his forthcoming release, which he no doubt plucked from that GQ article where Perry DIDN'T say that. I'm about to the point where I stop reading if I see the term "DJ" pop up.

Relax until you hear something from someone more reliable than the lunchbreak guy on your local K-SUK radio.

According to what I am hearing there is no truth to the rumor. I still digging for verification from a more knowledgable source.

Believe me I only brought up the possibility. I do not know anything. I just hope it isn't the case.

By the way if any untrusted outsider or media source asked be about my boss or coworkers they would just get the vanilla w/a cherry on top answer. But if I knew you, I would tell the truth of how I really felt. Never take talk in the public as fact. Case in point. The movie Silverado was a complete disaster to make. Kevin Kline and Kevin Costner still refuse to admit what happened even though everybody else has opened up about including the director. Those two guys hated each other to the point of multiple fist fights and constant disruptive behavior. They still talk of how great the experience was and how talented the other guy was.

Everyone is getting undies in a bundle for no reason. Everyone needs to relax and go have a sandwich. There is no need for this thread to continue, go up to my Eagles review thread that I worked so hard on. Nothing more to see here, everyone's just REALLY wasting their time here. Then again, he could be lying.   :D :D :D :D

The publicity this has garnered is GREAT!!! There's NO such thing as bad publicity as far as this is concerned. This is very Nikki Sixx-like. Smart move if this was intentional. Get some rest guys. See you in March.
