I remember being told in the early 80's that the previous band was Alien Project. Sounds cooler that way too.

Now I want to watch Alien again.

I've heard stories of him hanging out at Stagecoach Inn liquor looking for something to drink. Someone once told me that Steve owed him $100. How funny is that?

It was an ROR interview with Neal/Jon/Steve. Neal was telling the story about Steve asking him for a ride after a show (not Santana). He didn't know Steve, but Steve knew him. Just before Herbie's idea to form a band.

WOW....Steve's speaking voice is so LOW here....almost didn't recognize him!

....and his singing voice is sooooo HIGH.

PS ~ Never thought I'd hear the words "Steve Perry" and "Progressive Rock" in the same sentence.

I'm pretty sure there is more to the interview, but I haven't run across anything since I got ahold of this clip probably somewhere around '97. As far as I know, this is pretty much the only music from "Pieces" out there though to be honest I haven't been actively trading in years so who knows.
