When my son was 2 we watched that movie EVERYDAY for a whole year I think. It was to the point where I could recite the words along with the movie  I was so happy when he moved on to Fox and the Hound and Angels in the Outfield but then he watched those about 100 times each too  I am a sucker for all the Disney movies though. I have bought some of the soundtracks in the past.

If you don't think The Lion King is the best Disney movie of all-time....then you're not getting anymore unsolicited Barry Manilow calls.

It is in my top 5, does that count? Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast are up there (I know, chick flicks :P ) And the first Aladdin movie. And then more recently Finding Nemo. Those are the best animated ones though. I love all of the Pixar movies, the Toy Story movies probably being my favorites.

Having kids of course we have been subjected to multiple viewings of Disney movies, lol. Lion King is awesome, still can't stand the part when Simba is walking around his dad though trying to wake him up. Finding Nemo, Monsters, Inc., and the Toy Stories are great. Our son was obsessed for a while with Treasure Planet, for some reason that's one Disney movie that wasn't so popular, but it's good and he loved it. Not Disney, but both Ice Age movies are great. One Disney movie that's not animated but is awesome is Eight Below.

Yeah, I saw Lion King in the theaters, and it was shortly after my dad had passed away, like a month after. That scene had me in tears for while in the theater. Amazing how Disney movies can bring an adult to tears so easily. They either kill a parent or have a parent missing in about every Disney film there is. Nemo was a horrible way to start a movie!!!!!!!!!! My youngest daughter rarely watches Disney movies because she is so sensitive to death. It makes her cry everytime she sees death in a movie.

We had that conversation at work not too long ago, lol. It's true, Simba's dad, Bambi's mom was shot, Nemo's mom was eaten by a shark along with all his brothers and sisters. Those parts all suck, lol.

And think about the movies where there is a mom or a dad, but not two parents. There are lots of them. Little Mermaid had no mother. Belle had no mother. Cinderella had no mother. Aladdin was homeless. Toy Story only shows a mom. And I could go on and on and on with a list of single parents in Disney movies. I know there are others.

The Blues Brothers
The Wedding Singer
Starship Troopers
Dirty Harry
Coyote Ugly
Star Wars IV (The original)
The Life of Brian
Porkys
It’s a Wonderful Life
The Rocky Horror Picture Show

(Every single one of these contains some classic movie quotes. Alternative, I'll watch anything with Meg Ryan or Drew Barrymore in over and over again)

The neonazi military surplus store owner scene, the golf course scene, and the Whammy burger scene are all dark comedy at its best.

lol...I doubt they're having any fun at all!!! I'll take traveling, packed concerts, booze and friends over anger, jealousy, and message boards with tumble weeds running through them anyday. That's probably why most of them have alternative screen names here.   Pathetic.

That's on my list a page back. It was a hell of a good adaptation of a book that must have been a nightmare to translate to the screen. The book is 10x more disturbing than the movie if you can imagine that. Christian Bale was awesome in this one. Such a fuckin funny movie too. "I guess I'm a pretty sick guy... I've killed 20, maybe 40 people!!"

In no particular order

1 Godfather Trilogy - yes I even like the third one
2 Some Like It Hot
3 Monty Python's Life Of Brian
4 Adventures of Priscilla Queen of the Desert
5 And Justice For All
6 As Good As It Gets
7 Bell Book and Candle
8 Gypsy
9 The Usual Suspects
10 Withnail and I

and almost made the top ten...........Guns of Navarone, No Escape, Judge Dredd, Monty Python's Holy Grail, Scarface, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, Blues Brothers, Scarecrow, Blazing Saddles.

And I am still waiting for somebody to make a good version of Dune.

I love the twisted yuppie gone mad theme of the whole movie... Bale was brilliant in this one. The mix of 80s music and insanity...
Best scene ever... it's just so off base!

Patrick Bateman: Do you like Huey Lewis and the news?
Paul Allen: They're OK.
Patrick Bateman: Their early work was a little too new wave for my tastes, but when Sports came out in '83, I think they really came into their own, commercial and artistically. The whole album has a clear, crisp sound, and a new sheen of consummate professionalism that really gives the songs a big boost. He's been compared to Elvis Costello, but I think Huey has a far much more bitter, cynical sense of humour.
Paul Allen: Hey Halberstram.
Patrick Bateman: Yes, Allen?
Paul Allen: Why are their copies of the style section all over the place, d-do you have a dog? A little chow or something?
Patrick Bateman: No, Allen.
Paul Allen: Is that a rain coat?
Patrick Bateman: Yes it is! In '87, Huey released this, Fore, their most accomplished album. I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square", a song so catchy, most people probably don't listen to the lyrics. But they should, because it's not just about the pleasures of conformity, and the importance of trends, it's also a personal statement about the band itself.
[raises axe above head]
Patrick Bateman: Hey Paul!
[he bashes Allen in the head with the axe, and blood splatters over him]
Patrick Bateman: TRY GETTING A RESERVATION AT DORSIA NOW YOU FUCKING STUPID BASTARD! YOU, FUCKING BASTARD!

Ironic, actually....since CR is the closest to the Fleming novels of any Bond film since the 60s. That being said, Bond novels and Bond films are two different entities for most people--thus causing much debate.

I like the Phil Collins scene better than the Huey. Business card is hilarious.

"Let's see Paul Allen's card..."

They all put their cards away in shame til someone tosses Allen's out

Bateman: "Look at the tasteful thickness of it... the subtle off-white coloring... Oh my god, it even has a watermark"

So funny when his hand shakes and he just drops it. LOL

This is based on a true story. If you are an animal lover the original film will have you bawling. I saw it on Japanese T.V. many years ago. You can get on DVD but it's a little bit expensive.
