The Menagerie, Part One: Spock takes over the Enterprise and faces the death penalty to take his former Captain, who has been horribly disfigured in an accident, to a planet where an alien race has learned to turn thoughts into reality

The Menagerie, Part Two: During Spock's court martial, Kirk learns of his predecessor Captain Pike's encounter with the illusions created by a race desperate for breeding stock to help them rebuild their planet

Wolf in the Fold: Scotty is accused of murder which may have been committed by an entity akin to Jack the Ripper

All Our Yesterdays: When the ship visits a star about to go supernova, the crew learns that the entire population of its inhabited world have escaped into the planet's past. But Kirk accidentally steps through a time portal, and when Spock and McCoy try to retrieve him. Spock goes primal.

In no particular order:

1) A Piece of the Action - as mentioned, the Enterprise crew gangster style. Hilarious.
2) The Trouble With Tribbles - the furry little balls of hair take over the Enterprise
3) Tomorrow Is Yesterday - the Enterprises goes back in time to Earth of the '60s
4) Who Mourns For Adonais - the gang hang out with Greek God Apollo

Loved the original Star Trek series.

Sometimes the universe is a freakish thing. The three men behind me at a horribly boring meeting in Austin today spent 20 minutes discussing this very topic. I was astonished that these guys knew the names of the episodes and had such strong opinions about them. And now here is this thread ...

Gawd, I haven't seen the originals in so long. That was my favorite thing in the 70s. Get home after elementary school and catch the repeats of these.

Well, that and Kung Fu and later the Incredible Hulk and Dukes of Hazzard. Never got into the later versions of Star Trek.

I remember watching the cartoon version on Saturday mornings with the original actors doing the voice overs.

I LOVE that scene - if for nothing else than for the knowledge that the exasperated look on Kirk/Shatner's face is because half the crew are up in the 'silo' taking great delight in throwing more tribbles at him!
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

Mirror Mirror was the most fun

City on the edge of forever was probably the best written and acted,,

Had to look up the name lol, but the last one "Turnabout Intruder" has to be the most hillarious,, as Kirk's body is taken over by a women,, OMG!.. Shatner was a riot

City on the Edge of Forever
All our Yesterdays (isn't that the one where they go back in time and snag the jet pilot?)
The Doomsday Machine
Also like the one where they go to the planet and the whole Nazi thing is in full swing.
Amok Time

I think turnabout intruder was the last episode they filmed.

yeah, I was a little star trek geek in my earlier years.

Favorite episodes of TOS:

Balance Of Terror
Doomsday Machine
Trouble With Tribbles (Really liked the DS9 companion ep "Trials and Tribble-ations" too)
Space Seed
The Naked Time
City On The Edge Of Forever
Amok Time

And on a side note, has anyone seen the new fan-made series "Star Trek: New Voyages" (now retitled "Phase II)? Its been criticized by many but I think they do a damn good job of carrying on with the TOS legacy. Was a bit shaky at the start but the later episodes are a lot more professional. If anyone wants to check them out, here's the homepage: http://www.startreknewvoyages.com/

Amok Time for sure. Spock in heat? *fapfapfap*

About the Tribbles one... highly recommend the DS9 ep "Trials and Tribbleations" where they get film-spliced into the original scenes.

I always thought the Tribbles one was one of the worst. I liked Scotty's sections, but the rest... not so much.
