ALL evidence both past and present lead to the fact that Jim Peterik is much better as a songwriter than sullivan is/was or ever will be. This is an unarguable fact.

Once again utter horseshite. But you are entitled to your opinions no matter how misguided. I have most of JP's stuff. I love a lot of it. Some it I don't. It's hit or miss. He does put a lot of PRODUCT out there. No doubt. I wish it were more consistent. I love the first POL and then the follow up misses the mark for example. JP is a great talent but HE AIN'T THE BEATLES! So quit making him out to be a god. I will buy the JJ album. The samples sound solid but let's not turn it into Vital Signs Part 2.

1. Jimi Jamison still sounds awesome and he is giving the fans and himself a chance to be back in the spotlight . Yes this is 2008 and his music might not make the American airways but he still has it.

2. Jim Peterik continues to make great music and I am sure he doesn't have to work that hard. His name is attached to some of the greatest songs of the 80's bar none.
Co-written or wrote himself 18 top 10 hits.

3. Survivor is ??? I am not sure maybe they are just a touring band now .


Like Joe Vana said Frankie has made millions and probably just does it for fun.. There is no need for constant touring . Survivor will never be what they were . Frankie would be better off singing himself on a solo cd with his blues stuff .

Everyone should be happy these guys are still working . Survivor is not DEAD !!!

I don't know why there has to be all of the constant arguments, and that goes for BOTH sides?!

I think that anyone is honest in the matter knows that Survivor was at it's best when both Peterik and Sullivan are in the band. Sadly, Peterik is no longer in the band.

Survivor is still Survivor, although I'll grant you that it doesn't feel as much like Survivor.

I wish that Frank would (the way things appear to me anyway) take things a little more seriously with Survivor. What I mean by that is that they would make more effort to release more albums, and tour more. And no, it's not really that difficult to do. I know that Survivor would not make the same kind of money by releasing a new album as they did in the 1980's. But if Jamison can make money off of a new album at this time, then I'm sure Survivor could too.

But I also have to question why Peterik would sell off his shares in the band? It was just as much his band as it was Sullivan's. Sadly, he did sell-off his ownership in the band, and therefore Survivor is whatever lineup that Sullivan decides to go with. Survivor will never feel as much like SURVIVOR to me without Peterik, but the Jamison/Peterik album will never feel totally like SURVIVOR to me without Sullivan.

They all need to put their damn ego's aside and act like mature adults.

But in the mean time I also don't see what us here on this forum are accomplishing by constantly bitching about the band members?

I believe Frankie when he said he's open to working with JP sometime, you can never say never. Lets just let these guys do what they have to do. Here's my wish. Before all is said and done, before they both decide to rest their feet, perhaps work on one tune, just ONE TUNE, that takes the world by storm. I think its ENTIRELY possible.

What I "heard " was told to me by YOU. So were you lying to me and mike at the pre-show party last year before South Bend? You told us then and I quote " Frankie's not being paid a dime to do this." That was in response to my comment that it must've cost a bundle to get him to do it.
And it's pretty convienent that sullivan didn't get involved in your project until after it was announced that Peterik was doing Jamison's.
What a nice way to tweak a situation and claim innocence.
And you are ever so correct...Survivor doesn't need me....the REAL band is dead.
The frankie sullivan band, however can and will languish in mediocrity with or without my help.

What I "heard " was told to me by YOU. So were you lying to me and mike at the pre-show party last year before South Bend? You told us then and I quote " Frankie's not being paid a dime to do this." That was in response to my comment that it must've cost a bundle to get him to do it.
And it's pretty convienent that sullivan didn't get involved in your project until after it was announced that Peterik was doing Jamison's.
What a nice way to tweak a situation and claim innocence.

Asking why the band broke up or what happened to me, is kinda like asking what happened with your divorce...I was a MAJOR Journey fan for years, worked as an op in their chatroom, which is where I met Kevin Chalfant and then it got to be, where I knew TOO much and it was kinda like the once the curtains are pulled back and you see things or hear them, then, that pedastal we put them on seems to just crumble.

When hurricane katrina hit and I lost all my music collection....I was sent the whole Journey catalog, compliments of the band and their people...I was sent interviews and all the stuff I had collected and shared with other's over the year's, rare songs, unreleased, etc. from the fans...I had bought an autographed guitar for my daughter for Christmas...the top of it was on the outside of the house and the rest of it was on the inside, I still regret not getting a shot of that coz it was kinda funny yet the same time sad, she kept part of it.

I know a lot of what happened during the breakup of Frankie and Jimi and it's between them, simple as can be, it's a business and it's their's....not ours to discuss or lay blame on who. wow, they were still fighting about that in court as late at may '07...that's crazy if you think of it...over 20 years since the name was probably all that relevant anyways...

I don't really care about the names anyways....i mean really...if we have JJ and JP working together and maybe even Dave coming out of the shell and you can perhaps catch mcsurvivor, well hell, you can't lose....just go enjoy whatever is playing near you...
