Revelation is a great album. Don't know if it would have sounded as good with old SP involved.

I think they did the absolute right thing by hiring Arnel, and I think the world of him, but even as good as he is, I'd take SP in any vocal condition on a Journey record over any other singer. But I've been listening to them since Rolie was with the band.
Not me. Not if it meant no more touring. No way. This band is in its best shape since 1983.Rick wrote: I'd take SP in any vocal condition on a Journey record over any other singer.

I agree with you Rick, but I don't know if it would have made a difference as far as sales. This album has done incredibly well for a band as old as Journey.

True, but the tour would sellout multiple nights in most cities with Perry singing. The Police didn't put out a new album, and they soldout multiple nights in most cities. However, with a Sting impersonator they wouldn't have done as well.

Depends which version you caught. The one where he's trying to sing with the players - no! He'd been screaming, they're all off pitch... definately NO. But there was another occassion where he got a blonde female reporter to sing with him, and he nailed it pretty fair! Different tone than before, but pulling it off cold, after all the cheering... well, do what you got to do for the note, but it sounded good.

No kidding! I'd rather hear Arnel with Journey at this point than Perry's voice as it was on Trial By Fire.
I love Perry, but the damage to his voice just doesn't do anything for me and I would bet if he was involved, the album would've been much slower than it was. I personally welcome a more rocking Journey and have been waiting for it since Frontiers. Everything with Perry after Frontiers was so much more UNrock.

2-what if nixon had won a few more vote in Illionois and actually beat Kennedy in 1960 ?
3-What if Todd's malfunctioned at Ford theater and Lincoln lived ?
4-What if Santana and Neal had gotten along like a house on fire and never fell out ?
5-What if they never brought back blue M&M's
6-What if the Coyote caught the Roadrunner in Episode 5 of Looney Tunes
7-What if Rollie said "No Cain, No Way I want back on the Piano" in 1980?
8-WHat if, on Oct 3 1951 with 2 outs in the 9th Gill Hodges had been guarding the first base line for the Dodgers, had been able to get Don Mueller of the Giants out and Bobby Thomson never got to bat
9-What if Charlie Brown kicked Lucy in the head one of them times she was holding the football
10-What if Americans stood up and said "no shit beer and no shit cheese will cross our lips ever and Old MIlwualkee and Velveeta were banned.
11-What if Toilet paper was never inventened and we had to uses EUcalyptus leaves instead. Would Austrailia be a world economic power?
Fact is - just like Perry never came back and didnt sing on Revelation - none of these alternative endings ever happened- and theres no use going on and on about what ifs![]()
