Not so much... but ya know. It was kind of adrenalinated. And such.

Um, he did NOT belt out a great vocal at a Sox game. It was horrendous.

Yah... 'twas what I was hinting at... without coming right out and saying it... :P

Depends which version you caught. The one where he's trying to sing with the players - no! He'd been screaming, they're all off pitch... definately NO. But there was another occassion where he got a blonde female reporter to sing with him, and he nailed it pretty fair! Different tone than before, but pulling it off cold, after all the cheering... well, do what you got to do for the note, but it sounded good.
Definatly 'trial by fire "voice ,i heard it, he was on key,not bad at all

Here ya go! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPxX0VwHu-I
Not bad lifegaurd, it it was about 4 steps down, but who cares."she said still got it" maybe he got some knooky later, beats the cat[if ya know what i mean]

Cat?

That is a position he has maintained for the better part of 15 years. However, if you want to get even bash David Lee Roth and watch Tito's tutu climb up his ass.

Tito wears a tutu?
Now that is interesting.

DLR said the only thing he is allergic to is criticism.
I guess Tito follows that same philosophy.

P.S.
if his tutu regularly rises up his arse, I am SO glad I do not have to wash his laundry.

No kidding! I'd rather hear Arnel with Journey at this point than Perry's voice as it was on Trial By Fire.
I love Perry, but the damage to his voice just doesn't do anything for me and I would bet if he was involved, the album would've been much slower than it was. I personally welcome a more rocking Journey and have been waiting for it since Frontiers. Everything with Perry after Frontiers was so much more UNrock.

TBF sounds like a much heavier record than Revelation to my ears. Schon's guitar is much more up in the mix and it has this great crunchy quality to it as well.

I'm just not getting what's so 'rock' about Revelation. There's Change For the Better...plus one BGTY knock-off and a trio of Survivoresque numbers in the middle...but other than that it's the same old schmaltzy/mid-tempo pop/rock we usually get.

Possibly a little faster overall than TBF - you're right about that, I think - but equally the production is much more commercial and lightweight.

TBF had too many slow tunes on it. I do agree that the guitars sounded better on TBF, but the songs themselves just seemed like FTLOSM leftovers to me. I think I kind of agree with the 'survivoresque' comment. What it Takes to Win.. decent musically, but it was kind of like Karate Kid VII lyrics. Still, I like it. I like a lot of tunes on TBF, but there are at least 3 that I don't listen to and I've never hit my skip button for a Journey album (including Generations).

By the Way- Speaking of Revelations- how does one get the Japanese bonus track? I have 'Let it Take You Back' (not great) but I didn't the Japanese one...
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.

I'm not a fan of TBF but I agree with you on the production side of things, Trial By Fire is head and shoulders above Revelation in that department.

Smith's drum sound is head and shoulders above Deen's. He always had that HUGE sound.
