Thanx for the song (you know who you are  ).

I just want to tell you that I dig this version much more than the original one. Better and more balanced sound, better voice and... a nice surprise right after the solo and the bridge. Arnel... YOU F*CKING ROCK, DUDE!!!

Keep in mind this is just MY opinion.

With all these different versions of the album and different bonus tracks, I'll just say...

....man I'm glad I downloaded this for free off the 'net, cause no matter which version I would buy, I'm missing something and thus getting slightly ripped off. Thanks record companies!

Can someone discreetly throw this on YouTube?

I don't like either version at all. It's good musically, but the vocal lines are bland and don't seem to fit with the song. Perry in 1981 couldn't make that song good.

It's almost got a Mexican/Japanese feel to it. And I only see 4 guys in the video, is the other one shooting the video?

Lula wrote:not diggin' either song. the place in your heart clip dpes not sound so good to me, i will venture to say the original is the one. as for the other, let it take you back, lyrics sound juvenile to me.... very weak. musically it's okay, but nowhere near the league of departure/evolution/infinity, not even close.

If you liked the original, you are gonna love this version. Its simply amazing. Way better than the original.

Respectfully, yet emphatically disagree.

Cannot stand how Arnel sounds on the Augeri re-records.

Instrumental end sounds neutered on this version too, in the same way as FITH. Ugh. Terrible.

I'll agree with you as far as the vocals go. But I think the overall "feel" of the new version is much, much better. More polished, more bells and whistles.

From the sample, I like the verses but not the chorus. I cannot comment much on the rest as the sample clip is horrible quality (or it could be my work speakers)

Gee... wonder what it sounds like....

!!!!

(later)

Okay, I've heard it. Cool. I don't know if I like it better than the original, but I definitely like it. Same with Faith in the Heartland. It was just a different version, not better or worse. This one has a different structure which I really like. Neal's guitar solo is also great on this.

it's a great track! Thanks for sharing! If Journey was smart, they'd make this a download off their site.
NO. He's NOT Steve F'ing Perry. But he's Arnel F'ing Pineda and I'm okay with that.
