Which shows by your favorites do you want released?

Postby S2M » Tue Oct 14, 2008 8:34 am

on DVD, that is....

Firstly, I know we want something from the 70s released by the J-boys.....but other than THAT, or from any other incarnation of the J-boys - what do you wish to have released?

1) 70s era Kansas show. Preferably something from '77s Point of Know Return, or '76s Leftoverture.
2) 70s era Rush. Full show from 2112, Caress of Steel, or Permanent Waves
3) Something 'official' from Rainbow. With Dio on vocals.
4 70s era Billy Joel. Again preferably something pre-1977
5) ...to be continued

Off the top of my head, the 2005 Generations tour. I don't care if it's lipped, I want all those early songs like Kohoutek and Nickel and Dime

More to come later

*HINT*MOUNTAIN AIRE*HINT*

I really want a Journey Departure tour show, and not that one from Japan (Oct. 1980) that's all over the place. Seen that 1000 times. Gimme stuff I have never seen. I KNOW ITS OUT THERE!

I got my wish on the release of The Who: Live at the Isle of Wight...
but I have bootlegs of other Who shows that would be awesome if they were worked up and released officially, like the '75 Summit show, the '70 Tanglewood show and HOLY CRAP, the famous '73 Cow Palace. I don't know if there's any better footage laying around of that last one... I don't think there is... but that would kill.

Any original Van Halen show with Dave on vocals....and, while they're at it, something from Dave's first two solo tours in '86 and '88.

I'd seriously love to see the full Houston '80 concert video as well. The audio rocks, and actually seeing the concert would be incredible. :D I don't think I would mind a ROR concert video either.

I checked on our cable and they had 3 single song videos. Any Way You Want It from the Departure tour was a version I had never seen. The other 2 were Faithfully from MTV and Open Arms from '81.
I like to sit out on the front porch, where the birds can see me, eating a plate of scrambled eggs, just so they know what I'm capable of.

Is that the one where he's wearing red and white polka dots? MTV used to play that video the first year it came on the air.

I'm with Eric (Loneman) regarding Houston 1980, which is THE greatest Journey performance EVER. Would love to see the whole show.
Journey - Passaic 1978 would also be a wonderful show to own, and of course a ROR tour would be amazing.

I think there is a Love Gun bootleg out there. Wasn't this the 1977 tour? It may also be on one of the Kissology DVDs.

1. Full ROR Mountain Aire 86 concert.

2. Full Gods 2002 concert (JSS, Eric Martin, Honeymoon Suite, Hardline, Harem Scarem, etc....) Love the dvd and cd of JSS portion and have an audio boot of EM's portion (good mix of early EMB, Solo, Mr Big)............but would love to see that whole concert on DVD! Especially when JSS and Bob Catley join EM for To B With U.
