Oooh. Yes. I'm there.

this year would have been appropriate for the MR bunch. lora & i organized a party at cabo wabo on 10/10 & played a sneak preview of the upcoming cosmic universal fashion cd. one of our favorite guitarists played on a couple tracks.

10/10? Its 10/15, chickie.
But thanks for the heads... well, down I guess.
I'll send you a calendar for christmas. It will have kitties on it.

judging by the responses here in this thread, I think Andrew needs to consider Cabo Wabo as a possible venue for the next MR fest! ;)

Horseshoe Casino in Hammond; 25 minutes from downtown Chicago...Tito's idea. Place holds 3,600 people and it's a brand new venue (8 weeks old). He could draw a huge name or two and the venue would salivate at the idea of having people there for 6-8 hours. The beautiful thing is they "comp" their big players and you're probably starting with at least a thousand people before you ever even sell a ticket...if the bill is good enough. And the casino gives you the money for the customers they comp. This could be a huge payday for Drew if he can put together a good bill. I say pay the money and get Foreigner as a headliner. That would amost ensure a sellout. Throw "Johnny and The Leisure Suits" on the bill (Johnathan Brandmeir's band) and you'd have The Loop advertising the show. Guaranteed sellout if you do that. You're welcome, Drew. :P

That is a great idea, man. (I guess you were finally due, huh? )
There's huge marketing for that place. Constant TV and radio ads around here.
Worth looking into for sure.

Pretty much Tito's idea. I love the idea of throwing Brandmeier's band on the bill. That ensures promotion and advertising, and they're pretty good!!! Not to mention that The Venue is beautiful and I could gamble. Throw a big local band on the bill and you're in business. Tito also suugested getting Chalfant, Ramos and Rolie and having a Storm reunion. I think that would be awesome.

Double up the Greg Rolie band and one of Steve Smith's band and bring in local Chalfant and fly in Ramos = The Storm (minus Ross Valory although he is more than welcome to come if he could make it).
