Jeff Fischer always has been one of the best coaches in the league and has had some mad success with Houston/Tennessee for years. Hell, if the powers that be created a football field to be 99 yards, the Titans would have a Superbowl victory under their belts.

The only question I have with this team down the stretch is at the Quarterback position. Sure, Kerry Collins has Superbowl experience and played on a Superbowl caliber team, but how the NFL changes EVERY Minute, EVERY second, let alone every WEEK.. the worry of it all is that could Collins consistently lead this team down the road in crucial moments , and more important ..deep in the playoffs? I don't think this undefeated streak will last too much longer and I believe it will be broken down from the Quarterback's performance.

Also keep in mind that the combined records of their opponents that they have beaten aren't really considered mad contenders at this point and has a W/L record of 9-19 between 5 teams. Regardless, they have the defense that will PUT YOU DOWN..hard..and fast. As long as their D keeps playing the way their playing, they will be in all the way, then the playoffs will tell another tell.

I see Tennessee losing in the divisional round or possibly in the Conference Championship. The AFC is going to be interesting, and were starting to see better performances from both the AFC and NFC. Should be a great second half of a season. One I anticipate the best I've ever seen.

Dude! Are propping up Houston/Tennessee? What next? are you going to start saying how great the Browns are? Undefeated nothing! It only counts at the end of the season!

I wouldn't say propping up, but hey, give credit when credits due, they seem to have an outstanding ball-club this season. As for the Clowns statement..quick go find the nearest sidewalk and beat your head off of it. How dare you foolishly say such a thing to another Stiller fan!

As for the Titans,

wouldn't it be something if that Week 16 showdown against our Stillers could determine home field? Something to think about! LETS GET IT ON!

I think the Steelers have to get their offense together to be taken seriously. They are VERY thin at running back. I know Willie Parker is supposed to be back this week, but let's see if he stays healthy. Pittsburgh has beaten only one team this season, who had a winning record, at the time the Steelers played them, and that was Baltimore. I think the jury is still out on the Steelers and what kind of team they have. I do like their defense, but their offense has been dreadful!

regular season--the titans last two games are at home against the steelers and away against the colts and i do certainly think these games will have a huge bearing on home field advantage and the playoff picture overall and those are going to be some very hard fought battles.

now playoffs-after just facing the steelers and colts i do think somewhere along the lines there will be another titans game against the steelers or colts played especially if it reaches the AFC championship game.

Agreed. To be 4-1 at the BYE after being as banged up as we were/are, esp. injuries to MAJOR key players (Starting Running back, Backup Running back, Backup-Backup Running Back, Starting Right Guard, Starting Left Tackle, Starting Nose Tackle, Starting Defensive End, Backup D-tackle, Starting Kicker who is 9/9 on the season, and a Quarterback with a separated shoulder) is truly a blessing and holding a solid 2 game command in our Division and being 4-0 against our Conference.

But..Your right. Givin' the question marks, and injuries mainly to the Steelers' offense they really didn't get a chance to really blow up.. but they have showed some signs on what they can be in games against Houston and Jacksonville. The game against Jacksonville was a sigh of relief and the Offense seemed to be clicking at times. Coaching is still a major concern from the offensive coordinator's standpoint. I'm still waiting for them to put together a complete game and I think it could get scary if and when they do. The 2nd half of the schedule isn't one bit cute, and we will see what squad we have very, very soon. Hopefully things will shape up at a better pace or we will be sitting at home early January possibly facing another 1 and done. I'm confident the Steelers will be right there as an elite at the end of the year. Can't wait to see how everything plays out.

steelers were always my favorite team until tennessee got the titans in 1999.started watching the steelers in the mark malone/louis lipps era back in the mid 80's and hated neil o'donnell after he cost the steelers a super bowl against dallas in 1996 and then what happens? he comes and plays for the titans.lol.then of course the titans went to the super bowl in 1999 and lose to the rams so i was glad when the steelers finally won another one against seattle a couple years back.the steelers will always be the greatest dynasty since that 70's run of four super bowls.there have been other teams like the 49ers do it but not in the short time the steelers managed to do it.

And your point??? You do realize that Indianapolis is dead last in the NFL, in rushing offense, right? Hell, Cincy has a more prolific rushing offense than the Colts have. As for Joseph Addai...It isn't much of a loss. The guy is ranked 37th in the NFL (there are only 32 teams) in rushing.

i think manning is going to be throwing a lot more and if there is one team i fear more than any other its the colts.no lead is safe when you play peyton and you better play the whole sixty minutes or he'll find a way to pull the game in his favor as we saw when the colts stormed back against the texans.those guys thought they had that game in the bag and thats when the colts came back and stunned the hell out of 'em.

Well, if Peyton is your concern, then I would say it's a valid one. Your original point was that Addai was out, and I was simply saying it's a non-factor, because the Colts' running game is a complete embarrassment!

skins are doing pretty good this year.you guys just signed shaun alexander at running back and he is also a former seahawk like coach jim zorn.i think the skins have the browns this week and that will be a good interconference game.

I'm not going to brag on them until they have earned it, but the 'skins have exceeded my expectations so far. Really like Jim Zorn as a coach. I think the guy has it all together. I was a bit surprised that they signed Alexander, but they needed to do something since Betts got hurt.

Let's not get too carried away with the Redskins just yet. They just lost to one of the worst teams in the NFL (The Rams), and I can tell you that Shaun Alexander is DONE! The guy has done nothing (aside from draw a large paycheck) for two years!

The funny thing with watching that game is, I could tell the Redskins played as if the game was going to be a walk through. I didn't see that aggressive, killer instinct like I had seen in the previous four wins. Just goes to show you, no matter how bad your opponent might be, if you don't bring it each and every Sunday, you'll get bit!

I'm still scratching my head with the Alexander signing. I realize he was in Seattle with Zorn, but Cartwright is more than adequate enough to be the #2 back while Betts is out. No matter what happens this season, I still think the Redskins are on their way up and Jim Zorn is the right guy for the job.

That, we agree on. I like the direction of the Redskins, a lot. They're one of the great NFL franchises, and it's nice that they're on their way back to being relevant again. I like Campbell a lot. He's never going to be a top NFL QB. What he does well is manage a game, and he doesn't turn the ball over. That is what wins the the NFL. I think the Redskins have done well to finally move on from the old and washed up Joe Gibbs!

Yeah, the turnovers really hurt the 'skins in that game against the Rams. One reason why the Redskins had won 4 straight: no turnovers!

That's one thing about the Redskins, historically, they have never had top elite QBs. Well, at least not since the 80's, but they were QBs who could make the big plays when you needed to. That's kind of how I think of Campbell. He's a smart guy who will make the big plays when needed, and manage the game well. He'll never be a Tom Brady or a Joe Montana...but there isn't many QBs like those guys to begin with. I am kind of curious how Colt Brennan will turn out in a few years. While I hope Campbell has a long and successful career, if Brennan turned out to be one of those special QBs like I sense he might, I'd be kind of disappointed if he went with another team and had large success.

I love Joe Gibbs! And honestly, I'm not sure how much success Jim Zorn would be having now if not for Gibbs bringing in a good group of players. I think the franchise was in such bad shape, that when Gibbs came back, he had more to fix with the fanchise than X's and O's. He definitely was waaaaay too conservative in his second tenure, but I have to give him props. How many times had the Redskins been in the playoffs with the other coaches? Once? But, I agree, I think Gibbs kind of lost his killer instinct. Obviously, he didn't have a John Riggins or "the hogs" to play conservatively and still win.

Are you nuts? Listen...Keep New England out of any "game of the week" discussions, this season. They have a shit QB and very old defense. They don't belong in the conversation with any premier matchups. I like the New Orleans versus Carolina game and I also think Cleveland and Washington will be interesting. Those are my two picks of the weekend. I think New Orleans and Cleveland emerge victorious this weekend.

Not the Patriots! In my opinion, the Patriots aren't even a wildcard team this season. I believe Buffalo wins the AFC East this season. They (Buffalo)have a chance to make a real statement this weekend, against the Chargers.

Are you serious? They have Indy twice, who has proven to be a VERY marginal team, after gettting blown off the field by an equally average Packers team! Cleveland is a fucking train wreck! Houston is 2-4 (and this is only after beating a dreadful Detroit team yesterday). The Lions always suck (in case you haven't noticed, they're 0-6). I can't believe you actually call this a "tough stretch on the schedule". The only real threat on that entire schedule is Pittsburgh, who is 5-1. There are only two teams on that list with a winning record, and Chicago and Green Bay are only each one game over .500! I admire your dedication to your Titans, but you better brush up on your football knowledge, because that schedule you just posted couldn't get any easier, unless the Bungles were on it! The combined record of that "tough stretch" you posted is a whopping 29 wins and 33 losses! If you think this is a tough schedule, dude, you're in for a very rude awakening, come playoff time! I'm only glad that you didn't include the 1-5 Chiefs (who the Titans beat yesterday) among the part of the "tough stretch on the schedule"

I dunno, John, I honestly believe they could easily lose three of the next four. I admit that that stretch looked a HELL of a lot worse at the start of the season.
I hope you're right, cause I'd love to see them run the table, or come close anyhow. I just have a feeling that (especially next Monday night's game) they're gonna have their work cut out for them.
Boy howdy, though, is that matchup with Pittsburg shaping up to be a barn burner?

What the hell is wrong with you delusional Titan fans? Now you want to "see them run the table"? In the history of the NFL, only one single team has gone 16-0. I promise you that the Titans won't be the second team to pull it off! You do realize that Kerry Collins is their QB, right? Listen, I like the Titans and absolutely believe that they are a good team, but you Tennessee fans really need to get a grip! The Titans are 6-0 and still haven't beaten one single team with a winning record, so let's not get too carried away here!
