"Hear that SP?" Dude... what? Now SP is at fault for loss of freedom of speech, too?

That has to be one if the dumbest things I've read here in awhile. Did she seriously just blame Perry because she got told something here that she didn't like?

Why all the SP hate? Just because he's an eccentric, cat-punching, closet homosexual (you might have a chance after all Bobby) who has more fans than he can count yet hasn't sang anything or toured in over a decade...what's wrong with that? Give the guy a break will ya!

Are you saying his experience with Sherrie turned him off women?

I think he's inferring that Sherrie had a penis.

(play with THAT image for awhile boys)

Is that what became of those royalty checks?

Thanks! You guys have totally ruined the Oh Sherrie video! :(

Think about THIS song....Oh Larry!

And now the song too!!

I don't think that people have ever been as free with their speech as they are today, and as free, only second to their freedom to act.

Everybody knew an Archie type in the circle of family or friends. It didn't make it right but there was no harm in laughing at Archie's slanted view of the world. Those shows taught tolerance, not so much by focusing on the main characters but the action and dialogue of the supporting cast.

Now day's a show like that would be boycotted and have it's sponsors pulled. Freedom of speech is boxed into a package now that you aren't supposed to break the boundary of, less you offend the authors of the Politically correct content that is stuffed in the box.
My Dad is Archie. When Hilary was running ,he said "I dont want know damn women for president." Then surprised me last week when he said, "Im voting for that colored boy" go figure. And he hates all Jews to.

It absolutely has become erroded, but in this country not in the way people would think. Here, it's done through intense social stigma via political correctness and the threat of legal action by anyone that might be "offended" at your speech. That's enough to keep you from mouthing off too much in public.

Bitterness? No. Pissed off? Yep.
I don't care how much I like his singing voice and even though he SEEMS like a nice person, he has this issue with other peoples' opinions and thinks calling his lawyer will solve everything.

If he EVER punched my cat his bell would be rung royally. Take THAT to the bank.... :P

Did he call the lawyers on you? I would gather it would be something serious if he would bother to pay a lawyer to handle it. Or he could just punch your cat like cyndy said.........    At least this way no feline was harmed in the making.

It doesn't. She edited her post. Thankfully cyndy quoted before that happened.
Read the quoted part. She seems to think Steve Perry wants her silenced, or something?

Thank you BJG! That explains alot! I was reading along and going, where did cyndy get that quote? And what in the heck does SP have to do with free speach? And why does Purrcat feel SP is out to sue someone? Is it a stalking issue? This is the confusing thread of the day! Thanks for ironing it out some! LOL!
