There are some awesome boots out there from the Boston 2004 tour. Almost as good as the real full blown production jobbies.

Zeppelin is the one blocking release because the show was a charity event and they don't want anyone selling the performance, at least that's how I read their reasoning for not including it on the Live Aid DVD.

Wouldn't the VHS/DVD profits going to charity? I don't know - I just assumed they would... if not, that's not cool. Zep could always forward any royalties to the charity if they felt that way about it.

After googling (which I should have done in the first place), the apparent reasoning is they thought they sounded like shit and were embarrassed by their performance (ditto Santana). Page and Plant instead opted to donate proceeds from their No Quarter DVD to the Live Aid charity fund.

2) 70s era Rush. Full show from 2112, Caress of Steel, or Permanent Waves
3) Something 'official' from Rainbow. With Dio on vocals.
4 70s era Billy Joel. Again preferably something pre-1977
5) ...to be continued

Stockton, do you have "Rainbow On Stage" w/Ronnie? One of the best live albums of all time AND it's official.

You can also get Rainbow live in germany on DVD - a remastered gig with Ritchie,Ronnie,Cozy, the three main men. Its brilliant - you also get interviews with then bassist Bob Daisley and videos for Long Live Rock N roll, gates of babylon and a couple other little bonuses - its totally awesome.

Pretty good list. I'd add Journey - ROR tour. And any Petra concerts from the late 80's.
