OT: NFL Football Sunday

Postby Enigma869 » Mon Oct 20, 2008 2:49 am

Because Sundays are VERY slow days on this board, I thought I'd start a thread for all of us NFL nuts to talk about the game today. I don't see any major upsets this weekend, but would LOVE to see the Fraud Boys tank against the Rams, which is VERY unlikely to happen!

What a fucking fraud! How the hell do you get smoked by the Rams??? This is EMBARRASSING! I've been telling jackass Cowboys fans for two years that they will NEVER EVER EVER win with Phillips as a coach. The guy is a fucking moron, who doesn't belong on an NFL sideline, as a head coach! Between that big mouth Owens, the ego maniac Jones, and the moron Phillips, it's no wonder this team sucks so much. Looks like you better put those Super Bowl reservations on hold, Fraud Boy fans

Well I had a post typed out until I saw this one, so I deleted it.

Who's the fucking fraud? Your team loses one player and the whole fucking team implodes. A loss to Miami is the gavel hitting the sound block on your team. Fraud.

Good Call John. What a difference a coach makes. One single man. A head coach with a different mindset mixed in with a prideful philosophy. That's what Jim Haslett has done with the St.Louis Rams the past 2 weeks. The men are simply just PLAYING FOR HIM. As for Dallas. Not even worth mentioning. Different year same lullaby. Can't wait to see the post game conferences after this one. Nice to see fat Phillips not jiggling his fat chin on the sidelines and jumping like a moron like he does when they win. John is right. Their not only frauds, but they've been frauds for quite some time and years upon years.

P.S Good game today Progs....

.. Just kidding. SLAUGHTER! 8)

Rick...the difference is that you don't hear anyone claiming the Patriots are going to the Super Bowl. I hear nothing, other than that sentiment, from Cowboy fans. The Cowboys haven't won a playoff game, since the world was flat, so they simply don't belong in any Super Bowl conversations. They have the worst head coach in the NFL. They have one of the worst (if not the worst) owners in the NFL, and a big mouth wide receiver, whose talent has never matched his mouth!

As for your comment "your team loses one player and thw whole fucking team implodes". Um, YEAH! You forgot to mention that the one player they lost is one of the top three QB's in the history of the NFL! Guys like Brady can't be replaced, so yes, he does make that big of a difference. Perhaps you have forgotten that before Brady started playing, the Patriots were an irrelevant franchise, so it shouldn't be shocking that when the guy goes down that they revert to what they were before his arrival. This is the NFL. QB's make a HUGE difference.

I agree with most of what you've said here, just defending my team a little. ;) I've begun to agree with you about Phililps too. Not the brightest bulb in the box. As for the Cowboys fans, that's not me. You'll never see me shooting my mouth off, predicting anything. That's just careless and will come back and bite you right in the ass. I learned that lesson a long long time ago.

I'll take it to the political thread if the need be, but I just want to let it be known I'm a registered Democrat. :P

As for my real team (the Bengals), they were eliminated before they even started. Hopeless. So many good players, but such horrible coaching, execution, luck, and effort....

Dude...You need to wake up and open your eyes. The Bungles are a horrible franchise, and always have been. They are now 0-6 for the NINTH time in their history. There isn't another team in the history of the NFL who has gone 0-6 even half that many times! While I agree with you that Marvin Lewis is a bonehead, who should have been fired two years ago, the Bungles don't have "so many good players", as you believe they do. Their defense sucks. Their QB has proven to be VERY average, when he can actually stay on the field. They haven't had a running game since Corey Dillon left. Their big mouth wide receiver is a cancer in the locker room, and his talent comes nowhere near matching his big mouth! This team isn't even half as good as you seem to think they are, and that's why they are deservedly 0-6, AGAIN!

The only reason why Dallas was noted America's team was simply because they had a KILLER franchise in the 90's (dynasty) and they had flawless and respectful players to follow and succeed like Troy Aikman, Moose Johnson, and Emmit Smith. True marquee guys.

Now who do they look to, to make this organization keep flowing? Owens? Pac-man? Romo? Weak.

The days of being labeled Americas team are long, long, long gone, and it looks to stay that way.

I always hated that moniker. The people that started it and perpetuated it are long since gone from the organization. I wish everyone else could forget about it also.

Come on my young Pittsburgh friend. You have to do better than this. I know this is going to shock you, but the NFL was around LONG before the 90's! A couple of points here...While the Cowboys had some very good players in the 90's, they weren't all choirboys. They had several players who had issues with the law (Irvin and Lett come to mind). Aikman was a below average QB. Emmitt was a very good player, and a good dude. Those 90's team won because they had the best offensive line, ever assembled. Believe me when I tell you...If Barry Sanders ran behind the offensive line that Emmitt ran behind, he would have EVERY record ever set by an NFL running back!

Now, onto the idiotic (as smart guys like Rick admit to) moniker of "America's Team". The idiotic fans (Sorry Rick) and the Cowboys themselves, gave themselves the name, which is what makes it so moronic! The Cowboys aren't "America's Team", and neither is any other team! I can assure you that the Cowboys have far more people who despise them (think Yankees) than who call them "America's Team". It's the most arrogant name I've EVER heard of for a team, and I would be personally embarrassed if any team I were a fan of referred to themselves as "America's Team"!

I can assure you that I'm not remotely jealous over a team who hasn't won anything since the world was flat. I can honestly tell you that if Jerry Jones owned the football team where I live, I'd give up supporting my local team and take up fucking basket weaving! The guy is one of the biggest jackasses in sports, along with Mark Cuban. There must be something in the Dallas water supply that keeps giving you guys dopes for owners
