It's from Journey performing Just The Same Way on a German tv show. I've seen the Can Do performance from the same show up on youtube. I tried to share and put it up on youtube quite a while ago, but it didn't work. I'll try again when I get more time, I might have done something wrong......I've never uploaded anything to youtube before. Actually, I'll see if it's not too big of a file to upload to "yousendit", if it can I'll post the link. :)

I got wind of a program from Triple S here on MR that you can make AV gifs from a few seconds of video (think she created a monster  ) and I've been playing around making AVs. Got some great one's of my 3 faves to use. :D

I think I have the "Can Do" one on a dvd, but not the other one.

Love that avatar! I can do the animated avatars pretty well and I have some cool ones from when I was learning the process, but I never use them because those things end up all over the place. I'm not doing that stuff so a bunch of people can jack it and make it community property and show no love for it. Screw that.

How can one be "alone" in "public"?

LOL! True.

Just because he's not with anyone that people "know", he's presumed to be alone. Maybe when people mill about with cell phone cameras, he shoves his companions down in the dirt so no one can see who he's with?

Seriously, it doesn't matter. When he invites ME out for dinner or a Cubs game, it'll me my businnes who he's with and why. Until that happens (yeah, and then I woke up), it's not something I'm concerned with.

Jeesh, way too many assumptions being made about someone's lifestyle and piece of mind  . For sure, we Journey geeks have read all the accounts, interviews ... heard all the taped shows ... There's a difference, though, between formulating an opinion/interpretation of what happened vs. getting into the pysches of the individuals involved.

I don't see Arnel's fans psychoanalyzing why his marriage did not work out and exactly how many girlfriends he has had and children he has fathered ... Neal fans wondering why he's always shooting off the mouth and why he can't stayed married ... Ross fans wondering what his vices were that led to him losing financial control, family home, declaring bankruptcy ... Smitty fans dissecting why he likes jazz over rock ... Jon fans — nevermind on that, lol.

By all accounts, everyone is happy and has moved on. SP is content with living his life. Journey found the lead singer replacement to reach the charts again. What is the point of pretending we know exactly what happened that caused the breakup ... who still feels anger and who feels guilty ... really, unless we were/are an insider or confidant, we don't know anything.

And that was my $.02.

Maybe he chooses to do things alone because of all the gossip that always insues the minute he goes out with anyone. Personally I don't worry about who is with, or not. The man has a right to have a personal life. :D

Totally. Good post.

None knows shit about what he does or why except the man himself, and that is no different than with the rest of us. Wouldn't most of us agree that if there were a four-page thread aboput any of us full of a bunch of people speculating what we do or why, we would read it and think they were insane and wonder where they came up with such things considering they don't know us? I know I would.

You can assume what you want about people but unless you KNOW them personally AND very very well, you have no idea why people do what they do.

So where were you when we were pycho analyzing the guy the other day? We've paid him well over the years, we can speculate. If he would put something out and take the money we're trying to give him, then we'll let up. Until then, he shall remain the male equivalent of Sybil.

I was out living my own life instead of whiling away the hours worrying about Steve Perry's. And if I was here, I wouldn't have gotten into it anyway except to be a big dark cloud on the "Ponder Perry's Psyche Parade" like I'm doing right now.

You want to know why he's so mysterious and shady?

He's Batman. 8) True story.

I can imagine having a microscope placed on your life is not the price anyone should pay for making music. Who says we are entitled to know every move they make? Would any like the tables turned on them?

Should we fire up a "Charice" thread now or some other pre- pubescent singing sensation? Anyone got someone that they think is the next big "can't miss"star?
