Seems its something I should be proud of (the funny part, not the lust part... lol!), that's why I jacked that quote.

I'm also a good speller and good with english/writing.
POOR with math, but I need a school subject to profess talent in, so there it is.

Not bad with photoshop either.

You forgot world class Thread Ninja!!

Since 78 what is your talent, or hobbie?

Does Beer drinking count? j/k

I'm a descent singer and a so so guitar player. As for hobbies; I like to read, listen to and record music etc..

Beer drinking damn sure counts as a hobby!

I can't sing or play guitar. I have a guitar and a voice box, just don't know how to use either of them. :?

Well, anyone can sing! whether you have a great voice or not doesn't matter, its just the fun of it.
Basic guitar is pretty easy if you can get past the pain.

I wish I could get lessons, I don't mind pain, I had natural child birth with both of my kids, no pain, no gain!

I guess my best talent is that I'm a good team player at everything?

Many people say I'm great at writing but I honestly beg to differ, I'm just one of the few that actually put an effort into it.

I'm good at poker, I suppose.

I can remember all the bad things my husband has ever said or done since the day we met (or so he says  )

(and I'm starting to get pretty good at ballroom dancing 8) - too bad above-mentioned husband hates it!)

Does it count if your hobby is also your job? I'm an actress. :)

I enjoy making costumes. I also do a little writing and drawing but nothing to boast about.

Great thread!

I can eat anything with a pair of chopsticks, and even faster then if I used a fork or spoon. Started when I was five years old.
I've never eaten a piece of sushi I didn't thoroughly enjoy.

Ok, I'm not afraid to gloat! I'm a killer cook! I can cook about anything, but my specialties are cheesecakes, manicotti and chicken enchiladas.

I'm not a bad volleyball player either

Oh man, my sister is KILLER at music trivia. She can whoop the shit out of anyone at that. She used to play along with "Rock & Roll Jeopardy" when that show was on and she always beat the people on TV. She so should have gone on that show. That's her greatest talent. 8)

I write, sing, play around a dozen instruments with varying levels of competence, cook, knit and spin, do medieval re-enactment and spend half the summer (more if I can) skin diving and sailing. I used to windsurf but don't have anyway of getting my sailboard to the beach any more, so it's been a while. I can't think of reading as a hobby, though; it's more an essential to being alive for me, kind of like breathing :D
Why treat life as a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in an attractive & well-preserved body? Get there by skidding in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand, chocolate in the other, body totally worn out, screaming WOOHOO! What a ride!

My talent details:

I have a good ear for great music :) I can sing, play keys, and guitar (Am I talented though with the insturments, probably not so much lol)

I am known to family and friends as "Mr Useless Information" seeing I am pretty good at all trivia. This only comes in handy at a bar during trivia or watching a game show. Or when all ur friends are drunk and they start asking useless information questions lol

I can play any sport and do a fairly good job.

Hobbies are:

Sports, keeping all my movie stubs (really why? I dont know..started when I was a kid), and keeping all newspapers with historical events in my lifetime (My grandfather passed on to me the JFK local newspapers when he was killed and man landing on the moon). Other hobbies include writing, reading, music, Journey, and traveling with my wife.

OK, I'll play.

3 of my 4 electric guitars, i've built myself from raw components. I play them fairly well...

I've built over 20 guitar amps from raw components.

I did a drink in every country around Epcot's world showcase......twice...and was able to walk a straight line on the way back to the monorail.

I have an uncanny sense of direction....

I can squeeze off a 15 second belch on command.

I love crafting & sewing...making things with my hands. Give me fabric, paint, glue, paper, glitter, clay all that stuff and I'm happy.

I have a passion for hand embroidery and have a huge collection of vintage embroidery patterns from the 40s-50s, and a ton of fabric which I then turn into pillows, Christmas stockings, stuffed animals, etc. I make & give a lot of handmade things.

My other passion is taking old beat up furniture & things from the thrift stores and giving them a make-over. I've re-upholstered furniture and repainted some...I just wish I had more time & space for everything...I have more projects going than I have time & hands.
Right now I'm working on my kids Halloween costumes...and, I'm suppose to be starting a quilt class this week! Then I have to fit in there re-painting the kitchen, bedrooms, baths, making slipcovers....

I never get lost or disoriented driving anywhere (*east of the Mississippi), day or night. And 99% of the time without having any kind of map.
I never ever forget where I park.
I have such a strong photographic memory that I can remember or see a place and tell you when I was there, who I was with, what I was wearing, and the exact details of the conversation and what I was doing there.

I can also bend over backwards, and do weird double-jointed tricks with my hands and shoulders.

Tammy you sound like me about 10 years ago. When I got back into doing art, I did a lot less of the textile arts. I took up doily making, knitting, crocheting, quilting, and tatting. I used to teach the army wives in Germany how to quilt so they would have something to do when their husbands were deployed or tdy. It takes patience to do those things.

I don't know about patience since I'm extremely short of that when dealing with my kids! I just know that I have to 'create' to keep my sanity. I WISH I could draw, paint and sculpt, but I can't...I admire those who can and I think that takes tremendous patience! I know 'cuz I studied Art History. I am forever amazed at people who can pull things out of their imagination and create something - I'm just basically following patterns so I'm not there yet. In fact, I only learned to embroider about 10 yrs ago 'cuz as a lefty it was the one thing I managed to be able to do...lefties have a hard time learning crochet from right-handed teachers & books. LOL.
I just recently watched the t.v. movie, COCO CHANEL and it just blows my mind how she & others could whip clothes together without a pattern! And, even pattern makers are amazing...how do they figure it out? I'm also amazed at chefs, cooks, bakers! Every Christmas I have to watch the Gingerbread house contest on t.v. :)
Anyway, I may have a talent for poetry as I've been told by professional writers (I was in a writing group with some t.v. & published writers several years ago) that I write it well....but, I don't do it often & frankly, who reads poetry anyway?? LOL.
