I wonder if he cried when that happened?

I wonder if it was Steve who would not let him in, or his management........We just don't know for sure.

Why would the management care if Jon Cain was there? I mean, I wasn't there, but I can't see anyone else caring whether or not the Frigster was hanging around.

It is true and the reason is that he who cannot be named couldn't face him. Until of course the other members tried to move on then he was ready to record and tour. Well, sort of.bluejeangirl76 wrote:*IF* that story is true, there had to be a reason and lord only knows what it is. WE don't.

Whatever. I wasn't there so I don't care. Hey! New motto!

*IF* that story is true, there had to be a reason and lord only knows what it is. WE don't. Does not mean that either party is not a classy guy though. Maybe Cain pissed in Perry's flower bed or something. "Dude killed my prized azaleas! Don't let that fucker in here!"

You contradict yourself here. A guitar and keyboard can have a voice too, and in Journey's case on the most memorable hits they sure do...which is why when the opening keyboard riff starts to DSB or SW people go fucking nuts. Same with a lot of Neal's solos...kind of like WCN.Enigma869 wrote:the fact that it was just one voice who made the music famous. Agreed. Perry has no purpose since he's unable to sing the catalog.Enigma869 wrote: Perry would be out of his fucking mind to ever even talk to Schon, ever again!

Right, and you'd say that Journey is as relevant now as they were in 1981, so you have zero credibility! I've talked to plenty of people who describe themselves as fans of Journey, and they couldn't tell you who Steve Augeri, Arnel Pineda, Jeff Scott Soto, or even Jonathan Cain are! Also, I tend to take Jeff's word over yours, considering he was actually a member of the band. Hell, he probably did more than 30+ shows in the two months he was in the band! You seem to think that because you're a die hard music fan, that everyone else shares your passion. The reality is that most people are not that into the drama that goes on in any band, unless they truly are a die hard fan of that band. It's truly just music, for most people!Saint John wrote: 5 men made that music famous, not one.
Well, in reality, it was more than 5, but that will never change the fact that it was just one voice who made the music famous. I definitely agree with you that Schon and Cain were every bit as instrumental. That said, the drummer and the bass player could have been anyone, and it wouldn't have mattered!Saint John wrote: The difference is that they have always said he's welcome to come back at a moment's notice, but he wouldn't even let Jon Cain into the building for one of his shows. Right. Perry is just going to come crawling back to that douche Schon, who has been ripping Perry publically, for years! Save the "Perry is welcomed back anytime" BS for someone who actually believes it. The only reason these guys would EVER even consider welcoming Perry back, is because he was their meal ticket, and the reason they actually still have jobs! Perry would be out of his fucking mind to ever even talk to Schon, ever again!

Steve Smith is the greatest drummer in the world. Schon did not rip Perry until recently and that was long overdue. Schon is not a douche either.

Go away, you Kool-Aid drinking, whacko. Steve Smith is the only member of Journey who was a native of Massachusetts, so I'm certainly not going to rip the guy. That said, I stand by my comment that Journey would have been successful with or without Smith's talents! He wasn't a vital cog in the Journey machine, and neither was Valory!Tito wrote: Schon did not rip Perry until recently and that was long overdue. Schon is not a douche either.
Fuck Schon! The guy is a fucking jerk, no matter how far you want to get your nose up his ass!

Whatever you say, Frito-Lay from Chicago! The fact that it's "mediocre at best" means that it's still far superior to anything that Journey has put out, without Perry in the band!

Put the fucking crack pipe down, dude! "Generations" is a fucking abortion, and one of the worst albums ever recorded by anyone! The production quality was DREADFUL, and so were the voices of that douche Schon, Cain, and Valory!

Journey will go on until Schon drops dead or his fingers fall off! I can promise you that if Arnel doesn't hold up, that Schon is ABSOLUTELY guaranteed to keep running lead singers in and out of this band, so long as it allows him to tour his ass off!
