You really enjoy using kids as your targets don't you? You're not a real man. You're a damn coward.

There's no fence sitting on the vernacular use of the word "retarded."
Were you before it, before being against it, or is it the other way around?
You sir, give Jim Bakker, a run for his money in the triathlon of sanctimonious right wing fakes.

TNC, sanctimony is something you specialize in. You know, it really is hard to be dumber than you, so it's very hard to get inside your head. I must admit that.

I said "issues-retarded", meaning the people don't know anything about the issues. Unlike you, I did not tie the use of the word retarded or "backwoods", for that matter, with a helpless special-needs child. For someone who likes to use big words to make themselves appear intelligent, you sure don't have much of a grasp of the English language.

An obvious attempt and trying to tie me into your sick use of special-needs children. Sorry but this is the second time you've done this. You really enjoy using kids as your props and targets don't you? You're not a real man. You're a damn coward.

He also likes it when people die that he doesn't agree with ideologically. This type of crap is nothing new from him. Pathetic.

The definition of "retarded" inherently means those afflicted with mental retardation, any use of it otherwise is demeaning.
It's a distinction without difference.
You are a fat hypocrtical turd.

I never mentioned Russert's ideology.

If I was a Republican I think I would just go hide somewhere until the election was over. This woman is an embarrassment to the party.

I stood in line today for over two hours to vote for McCain/Palin. It isn't over til it's over and I'm sick of being told otherwise.

what a total lack of respect for andrew. he can't even take a vacation without people acting like children who can't behave without adult supervision. he asked that all this stuff remain in one thread.

Dave made the use of the word "retard" a pet peeve a week ago, and now he drops it in casual conversation.
That's bullshit and you know it.

For the most part, I've avoided interjecting my views in these political threads ... don't want to get into a war of words with you high testeterone, supercharged guys.

That said, I don't see any credence in the CNN report — with their "inside sources" that they couldn't name. As far as I'm concerned, this is just another sledge hammer thrown by the "fair and balanced media" (har-de-har har) to discredit Palin. This is the same news network that, only a few days ago, tried to bait and humiliate her during a one-on-one interview with their reporter (some guy named Griffin). This guy brought up an article written in another media, twisted the writer's words around, to insinuate that the world viewed her as a stupid, no-brained barbie doll .... just to see what kind of reaction he can get from her. When called on this, CNN issued an apology to the news source and writer of the piece, calling it a "regretable" error in interpretation. But the damage was already done, with the election just ahead. Not everyone saw the on-air correction (retraction). And the apology was not directed to Palin, but to the writer and news source (National Review, I think).

I am no Palin advocate. I do feel sorry for her — much of the personal attacks on blogs are made up and over the top. Even some of the issues against her were found to be untrue. But, just like the above example of damage already done, not everyone learns about a false claim.

I saw the interviews with Charles Gibson and Katie Couric, and it were cringe-inducing, for sure. So she's not particularly well-bred and articulate. And, let's say, for the sake of argument, she's not book intelligent (no ivy league background there). To her credit, she is a very popular governor in her state (80% approval rating), with a long list of accomplishments. How could this have been possible if she's such a dummy?

She does not have an 80% approval rating.
Its been dropping since she was under investigation

Hey, tough guy! I said how could she have accomplished so much if she was a dummy? She has cleaned up corruption up there and done more for the people in her short time in public office than most politicians up there in their lifetimes.

Yeah, by partaking in collective ownership and sharing oil profits with the people.
Smells like socialism to me.

I'm not a social scientist and only delved into politics on the surface. All I know is she is hugely popular with the people in her state, if not in the rest of the country. As far as the investigation against her, all politicians will have enemies from people they have crossed swords with. Especially with her having bucked heads with the good ole boys network up there.
