New song on Myspace...

Postby G.I.Jim » Tue Sep 30, 2008 9:22 pm

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to take a second to let everyone know that I've got a new song "Losing You" on Myspace. I hope some of you like it! I've now got a couple of people working on the project (Alex-vocalist from Italy, and Jay-guitarist from London). "Losing You" is the 1st track that Jays worked on, and I know adding him to the mix is going to take my songs to the next level. He's building a new studio now, and in a couple of weeks we'll be working on a lot of new stuff. I've really been working on quite a lot of new stuff lately.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy, and just keep in mind...these songs will sound a LOT better in a few weeks!

Very nice but the vocals were a little far down in the mix to my ears. Boost 'em up loud and proud! :D

Thanks Robbie, and I definitely agree with you. It's going to be a few weeks before the song is finished, but I had to get that horrible version off of there with MY vocals!  The final mix will sound much better.

Awesome! Thanks again, and I really appreciate the feedback you all give me on here. I'm not an egomaniac, and definitely take people's suggestions into account! I've changed songs in the past, due to people's comments. I'm glad to hear that some of you like this stuff, and I hope to have this cd completed within the year.

I know realistically that there won't be much of a market for this stuff, but I write what I like...for me. I don't write songs to make it on the radio (anymore). I just write what comes to mind, and try to keep my stuff very melodic. I hope that some of you will like it though!

I thought that was you singing initially. You don't have a bad voice, so stfu saying that dude. ;)

Hey everyone,

Thanks so much for the compliments, I really appreciate the interest! I've been out of town and just got home, so it was nice to pop on here and see some of you have been listening to my stuff. I'm struggling right now with Alex's schedule as he's EXTREMELY busy with his work right now. I have several new songs that are finished musically and I've written the lyrics, but I'm waiting for Alex to have time to record. He's got two new songs recorded right now, but hasn't had the time to send them. I've heard them over the phone, and they're amazing!

Another issue right now is guitars...there are a couple of people who have agreed to play on the project, but I'm hoping the third one is going to work out. If so...it's someone that will please everyone here (and NO...not Neal! )! I'll keep you posted. Thanks again,

Jim
