It would have been great to meet those MR rockers who are attending, but I am looking forward to seeing the fabulous photo's I know Marty will provide us with shortly after the event.
Hope everyone going has a great time.
What does 'gutted mean" ? are you broke and trashed?

Gutted, along with "Nutter" and "bollocks" one of the first British expressons I learned when I moved over here from Minnesota.

To define it in a nutshell : "Super Hot girl is sitting in the bar, and you are looking at her for four hours, drinking sixteen beers thinking shell never look at me. About 2 in the morning she walks over to you and says I was hoping to speak to you hours ago, but Im too shy to say hi - I wished youd have come over earlier. I think this could be love at first sight. She gives you a kiss but THen her ugly jealous friend says gotta go home now and drags her off and you dont get a phone number. You immediately get a horrible sick feeling in your stomach and you know its not the alchohol because you are well known to be able to consume a whole bottle of tequila without even getting a buzz. Over the next 20 years every time you jerk off to the memory, every you reflect on your fading glory and now pathetic middle age life you get that same sick feeling.

that sick feeling is GUTTED. Any questions????

That alone would make it better than the MR Fest I...though I did enjoy the hell out of that show.

:D :D Hey Susie , thanks to you I was well behaved Saturday night in Notthingham. Walking through the city center I was just getting to the stage of being crazy, and then I thought, must not loose control, and cause a social disturbance, - the good folks of Nottingham like Susie P have have paid council taxes through the nose and they dont want to waste the money on cleaning up after me. So I went home nicely to the hotel, drank a liter of water and fell asleep

Hope you still enjoyed yourself though! And I hope Nottingham was hospitable to you all.
Some weekends we only get gigs on a Saturday night but this weekend we got Sat & Sun, otherwise I would have got tickets. And as I said, work is getting scarce so we just can't afford to cancel stuff.
Just my luck to have this type of event so close to home and have a load of MR cyber friends here and be too busy to hook up with you all. Bloody typical.

When do the Chica's get back home?

Yes , I have never known any from Nottingham to be anything less than freindly. Good people up there.

Dont worry- we'll just have to find another excuse to have a MR get together for us board dwellers on the UK side of the house.

And I'm sure the Chica's will have more for us when they have gotten home safely and caught up on some sleep.

Thanks, Rick, for the Stone In Love post. Steve A. did a really good job on that. That seems like it would be a hard song to sing, to me, and a song easy to miss high notes on and go flat, and he did great.

I'm really sorry we didn't get to meet you, Suzie, or hear you sing; next trip ...

I actually won't be home till Sunday. Getting in to Houston Wed night, staying over at the airport, and getting on a plane for Orlando Thursday morning for a professional convention. Changing hats from play to work somewhere along the way, I guess.

Did the Beatles thing in Liverpool today ... signed our MR screen names on the wall at the Cavern club (with Deb's ever-present silver Sharpie, of course), saw the houses where the Fab 4 grew up, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields; it was pretty cool.

But yeah, knackered about covers it. :D
