Talk about weird, the Philly fanatic lived in my neighborhood. On mischief night '78, I had my first run in with Delaware state troopers, because they thought I soaped up the windows on his fanatic van. They couldn't prove it (I dished the soap). 30 years and one day later, Phillies win the series.

Just heard this on the radio. Not that I care about the WS......or anyone else does....

MLB is such a joke. Let Obama take their salaries away and give to the 'poor'... like some sort of RobinHood...

I guess if nothing else, we could form a big circle and jump up & down...

I know this might shock you, but in states that actually have professional sports teams, some people actually do care! I realize that in Arkansas, the only thing that comes close to counting as sport, is driving around in circles, but other states actually have real sports! Nonetheless, good for Philadelphia for finally winning a championship!

They don't even have that, professionally. :P I'm not even sure if ARCA runs a track out there anymore.

Point is, what do baseball players do when they win? They get in a big circle and hop up & down. (What a novel idea!)
Heard a blurb on the news this morning that this World Series had the lowest tv ratings ever.
It's all soooo cliche, no one cares any more.

But I guess in the big cities, Americans can live vicariously however they choose.

:?

I'm quite confused by this. Would you suggest they start volunteering at a food pantry instead of celebrating on the field?

Maybe we can go thirdworld and have the players bring their kids on the field, then let the tykes shoot uzi's up into the air in celebration.
Actually, that isn't very thirdworld at all, is it?

That would at least be different, not to mention admirable.

The White Sawx or the Red Sawx?
The Rays walked over both teams in the playoffs for the right to play.

Anyways, the better team won, so yeah...congrats!

Arkansas, take a couple of vicoden and enjoy the game! Life's to short to worry about how you think they should celebrate.

Yeah, it's not a sport in the classic sense. It's a motor sport.
