Definitely the former; I liked the new ones immediately; could kick myself for not videoing any of them ... front row, hearing Tall Stories live ... Deb was crying & I was pretty much useless. Maria may have something, don't know for sure. We told Steve later on in the bar that we were excited that the new stuff rocked rather than being ballad-y; he grinned and said they liked it too.

i have stay with me on video. tried to get a couple more but the guy next to me wouldn't shut up. i know SOMEONE who claims to have taped quite a bit of if not all of it

i got the feeling from steve a couple of months ago that they set out to make ts 2 more rocking and more updated. eternal light was definitely harder edged.

One of Arnel's fans on his site just posted two tribute videos of Steve Augeri she found on YouTube with Journey. It was good audio on the videos. And it was expressed what a great guy Steve A. is.

That's nice for a change. I have no interest in going to Arnel's site after seeing some of the derogatory shit his suposed fans post about other singers on youtube (Perry, Augeri, Loggins, etc.) but I'm happy that at least one is acknowledging the man that kept the train rolling for 8 years.

I love both Augeri and Arnel, and Arnel would never condone anyone posting crap like that. I don't know anyone on AP's site who would do that, actually. You'd be welcome to stop by and visit anytime.

In fairness to Arnel, you really can't blame him for some of his nutbag fans. I heard several Augeri fans disparage Perry, after Augeri was brought into the band. That didn't make Augeri the bad guy. I think Arnel is every bit as good of a guy as Augeri is. I don't think it's fair to judge either guy by their psychotic fans!

I'd say that the vast majority of these so called nutbag fans Arnel had were people trying to make him look bad. I found it interesting that they purported themselves to be Filipino, yet when they were challenged to write and/or respond to even basic Tagalog could not do so. Sounds to me like it was some bitter people going over there to start shit. Arnel has always told his fans on his site that name-calling will not be tolerated and to embrace those with differing views...and his fans overwhelmingly respect his wishes. 90% of those so called Arnel fans that were saying disparaging shit were fake, John.
