How can you be taken seriously with not a single mention of "All In the Family", and yet work that AWFUL "How I Met Your Mother" onto the list???? That show sucks ass! Even my wife (who used to love the show) has finally come around and admitted to me that it has really turned into a bad show that is not worth watching

I forgot about "All in the Family"... keep in mind some of these shows I only ever saw in syndication. Nick at Nite's Block Party Summer introduced me to Lucy and that wasn't until 1993!!

I only ever watched the first two seasons of "HIMYM"... I haven't seen it in a long time. Didn't realize it sucked now. ...That's disappointing.

I agree with you here. I NEVER EVER got the whole Seinfeld thing. I wouldn't rank Seinfeld in my top 500, let alone top 10! I didn't find that show remotely funny.

I couldn't agree more. I never once laughed at anything Seinfeld said or did. He came across to me as a spoiled, cocky, arrogant rich kid. I cannot for the life of me figure out why millions of people thought he was funny. His jokes were stupid, and were completely void of any humor whatsoever.

You guys must not have enough brain cells to find it funny.

Seinfeld was hilarious!!!

I think the opposite is true. He is only funny to those who lack enough intelligence to realize his "jokes" are humorless.

How about Will Ferrrell... now there is a funny guy. Adam Sandler... very funny. Jerry Seinfeld... dry as fucking burnt toast.

I haven't watched it in a long while either. But how long can you drag out the idea of a guy telling his kids a story... is he ever going to finally get around to telling them how he met their mother?

I decided to make up my own ending so that I don't have to watch anymore. Their mother was the hooker he bagged after his millionth breakup with that brown haired girl he's always puppy-dogging over. 8)

That's probably why I quit watching! They're trying to recreate the Ross/Rachel syndrome with Ted/Robin. It just wasn't working. Granted, if in the second season Robin had come to him and been like "Ok, the writers re-wrote my character, I now want to marry you and have lots of sex & babies, ditch the German cupcake bitch and let's go." ...It would've probably been perfect timing. After Robin left for wherever it was (last I remember) and Ted was falling in "want to" love with every chick he met, it wasn't the same. I mean Ross married Emily, but not until a good few seasons after the "break" with Rachel.

Ah well... still loved the first two seasons.

I can't imagine how someone wouldn't find Seinfeld funny. I really can't.

As for creativity, it ain't close. They did a show completely backwards!

No other show has EVER done that. That's why TV guide called it the GREATEST SHOW EVER. PERIOD.

Ok let me give it a stab
No real order

1. Married With Children
2. Family Guy
3. Sanford and Son - has anyone mentioned this one yet? If not, shock (Nevermind, saw Saint John and John from Boston give it a shout out)
4. All in the Family
5. Welcome Back Kotter
6. Get Smart
7. Entourage
8. South Park
9. The Office
10. Simpsons

Not that big of a South Park fan... there are some great episodes, but episode-to-episode, Fam Guy and Simpsons own it

ALF was a moronic show, but I have to admit that dude came up with some of the funniest one-liners in TV history!

There are over half-a-million websites declaring that Seinfeld sucks:

http://www.google.com/search?complete=1 ... s&aq=f&oq=

That man is completely void of humor. I have no idea why people watch that show, unless maybe it's because women think he is cute. I wouldn't know about that - I just think he's an idiot.

No, it's not. Curb doesn't have weirdos like Newman and it actually drapes comedy around real life events and happenings. It's unbelievably believable. Seinfeld never had that quality. Not to mention that every line was completely predictable. I have never watched a full episode, but I have a grasp on the theme of the show and it's boring and repetitive. Curb was always fresh and different and had multiple settings...not just a fucking apartment and a diner (for the most part).

He's definitely NOT cute. Ick. I used to watch Seinfeld... of course, when you live out in the sticks and you only can pick up two channels... sometimes you just have to settle. I liked the Soup Nazi episode... and the one where Kramer cooks himself. The rest just kind of blur together and are quite forgettable to me. I did like Frasier though, that was a good show.

Thanks. Now I have that theme song stuck in my noggin.

This is the theme to Gary's show, the opening theme to Gary's show...
this is the music that you hear as you watch the CRE-dits.

We're almost at the part, of where I start to whistle...
this is the theme to Gary Shandling's show...

I bet that's on youtube but I can't look up youtubes here. :x

Funny, I would have figured your all-time favorite to be The Facts of Life. :P

And just to piss everybody off......

You take the good, you take the bad,
you take them both and there you have
The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life.

There's a time you got to go and show
You're growin' now you know about
The Facts of Life, the Facts of Life.
