USA Presidential Poll - Vote Now!

Postby Voyager » Mon Nov 03, 2008 12:58 am

Vote for your favorite candidate and let's see how our results compare with the general election. I would have added more candidates, but Ralph Nader is the only one who would have a chance to score any votes, and he never gets more than 5%.

P.S. - I checked with Andrew before posting this and he said that one poll thread for the election would be okay.

Looks like McCain has an early lead. All the Obama supporters must have partied too hard last night and are still in bed.

I've gotta go with McCain unfortunately. He was my last pick out of the Republicans, but I can't (and I don't know how anyone could) vote for someone with the extreme lack of character and lack of judgement as Barrack has demonstrated. You left wingers in here can say what you want, but that man's got some issues.

To me, it's not even so much that he know's Aire's, it's that EVERYTHING he's questioned about...he just dismisses it instead of admitting something and moving on. "Aire's was just some guy who lived in my neighborhood". WHAT??? How does he get away with that statement??? I'd think even the liberal media would have asked more of it!

"I never heard him say any of those things"...20 years of sitting in front of that bastard, and we're supposed to believe that the time those clips aired, was the only time he spoke out like that? YEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!

Barrack is a very gifted and talented speaker, but that's ALL he's ever done...EVER! He's done nothing but politics his entire adult life. He's voted to raise our taxes EVERY time he has a chance to vote on it, yet now I'm supposed to believe that he's going to lower the taxes on 95% of us? Okay...I've got some ocean front property for you too!

I don't like McCain's dumb-ass idea about having tax payers bail out people who can't afford the houses they're living in either! Hey, I want a $300,000 house too...will you guys pay for it for me?

That's my two cents on the subject...

Right now most of the national polls show Obama in the lead, but I do believe that some people will have a hard time voting for a black person. They may say one thing to a polling company, but when they are in the privacy of the voting booth they may end up voting for McCain. We won't know until late Tuesday.

Sorry, this poll, you shouldn't even have bothered. This is a decidedly Republican board. But Lula should be able to post a vote for Dean, too. We need to represent here  Go Hillary -- oops. I mean, go Obama. (Sorry, my heart is still just a little broken. It's taken months, but I'm 98 percent healed and now feel very positive regarding Obama if he should become our next POTUS.) Okay. Don't slam me for my comments here or tell me why I shouldn't vote for Obama. This isn't the election thread. This is just polling, so this should be a zone free of criticizing the other side on who we are going to vote for. Peace.

I don't see any names on the list I'd vote for!

Can you add in a few protest names?

Mickey Mouse (he's already registered to vote in Florida isn't he?)

That's just disgusting. To think a guy that was smoking crack 8 years ago, sitting in the pews of a racist pastor for the last 20 years, having dinner with a guy that blew up The Pentagon, and toasting with people calling for an end to Israel, becoming president is absolutely sickening. Couple that with the fact that it took his gargoyle wife 40+ years to be "proud of her country" and it's hard to believe that people are voting for this piece of shit. You should be ashamed of yourself...along with millions of other Americans. I've known of Barack Obama for almost 15 years. He's attended sermons by Phleger and Wright for 2 decades and that church is 10 minutes from my house. He's an almost open racist and he hates America. I would suspect that his lone adoration in America lies somehere near Ayers' "Guilty as hell, free as bird...America is a great country" sentiment. Whether it's Frank Marshall Davis, Reverend Wright, Ayers or Rezko, Obama hasn't surrounded himself with one decent person over the last 25 or so years. And people are voting for this guy??? It's hard to believe...it really is.

Like I said before. You can vote for Bush again if you want to. Just punch McCain on the ballot.

Bush has taken this country to it's knees in terms of economy and respect. I'd vote for Saddam Hussein before I'd vote another Republican into office.

McCain is trailing fairly badly in most polls, but don't worry, I have a feeling some strange shit is going to happen and the Republicans will try to steal another one.

Bush isn't running again. Your answer is a scare tactic derived from the DNC. The problem with it is that anyone with even an adolescent education can see through it. No wonder Obama is getting so many votes. The education system in this country is probably the worst in the world among civilized countries!!!

Rick wrote:Bush has taken this country to it's knees in terms of economy and respect.

The economy is in a rough spot, but it's not anything we haven't easily gotten through before. As far as the "respect" of the rest of the world goes they haven't been on our side since we became the lone superpower.

Neither of those elections were stolen. Every recount supports this. How come Republicans never have problems voting? It's really not that fucking hard!!!

There is LOTS of evidence the Republicans stole the elections in 2000 and 2004, and they've been addressed thoroughly in the Presidential thread. Those few studies that were done to "counter" those reports are, in fact, full of holes and do NOT refute much of ANYTHING.

And BTW - Gore would have won in all but two of the two dozen proposed methods of recounting in Florida, and Kerry would have won using ANY OTHER method in Ohio.

Exit polling? Never, ever was it off in an election by more than 0.3 points. However, in 2004 in OHIO ONLY, the exit polls had Kerry winning by 6.0 points - yet he "lost" by 2.5. In NO OTHER STATE was the difference more than 1.3 points...ANYWHERE.
But around town, it was well known...when they got home at night

To recieve the party's nomination McCain had to move further and further right, but the corrosion of his principles really started after 2000.
Even on the issues where him and Bush split (torture, global warming) there isn't very much difference.
It's not so much that he's tied to Bush per se, it's that he's tied to the modern GOP platform which is going down.

After what has happened in Politics the last 8 years and what has happened in the White House the last 8 years, it's fucking SICKENING one single American can vote a Republican back in office. The world has been nothing but a SHITFEST and a JOKE the past 8 years because of Dubya's policies, and we all know, that John McCain voted with Bush 90% of the time

Bush's approval rate was down to record lows after his 2nd term (Nick pick, America yah DUMBFUCKS! not once, but twice!) and I won't put it past Americans to vote for this joke of a party once more. Not only has McCain selected a Vice Presidential candidate that has made a complete mo chary and has already butchered the United States Constitution by her big, pig mouth (who has no business being mentioned in the same sentence as ANY top of the line Politician).. she would be only a couple years away from being PRESIDENT! Are we joking here or what?

Hey, say what you want about Obama and his in-experience or whatever. Fine. Reach for anything. There is no doubt that America is in need of a fresh new, young leader who publicly has the thresh-hold of being a leader..and all he needs is a chance. Chance that, after the last 8 years, is not too much to ask for and to see what the DEMS can do in office. This should be a no brainer.

Another thing.. It's pretty bad that a key component in the Republican Party, such as Colin Powell (Former Head Security of State) drops out early out of Bush's term, and then soon enough ENDORSES the Democratic Party for a Democratic election in '08! What does that say?

It's about time United States citizens make the correct choice. So far the past two terms, we are 0-2. Give Barack a chance, it can be NO WORSE than what the Republicans have already done to us already. Hopefully, we speak up.

They recounted the ballots by hand in Florida with a Replican official and a Democratic official present severl times. All of the recounts supported the initial decision. Sorry if your people can't properly punch a ballot. Again, it's really not that hard to make sure that the entire "chad" is detached and completely free of the ballot. If some democrats weren't so stupid I think Gore would have won. That said, the rules stated that those ballots don't count. You vote for the president once every four years and voter intent should be crystal clear as the process isn't that hard...unless you're from Broward County.

Nobody stole the elections 7 wishes. Yes Gore should have won in 2000 if he would have won his home state. His own home state turned against him, blame the voters of Tenn.

Very well said. It's just amazing that he has made it this far. When you associate yourself with so many anti-American individuals and your wife calls the country "downright mean", you shouldn't even be a Senator, not to mention a President.
