Do you believe everything you read? Most of these are completely inaccurate.
1. Despite problems at home, Sarah Palin does not believe in giving teenagers information about sex.
Wrong. This was disproved early on in the campaign.
2. Sarah Palin believes the U.S. Army is on a mission from God.
She didn't say that. Her quote was taken completely out of context. What she said was for people to pray that we would be on God's side, not that the Iraq war was a task from God. Those are two completely different things. This is the same kind of thing that Lincoln said during the Civil War.
3. Sarah Palin believes in punishing rape victims.
Lots of people believe the unborn child should not be punished for the sins of its rapist father.
4. Who's really not in favor of clean water? Sarah Palin.
The quote you included didn't give context to Palin's comments. This sounds like that ridiculous propensity for Democrats to say things like Republicans just want old people to die, children to suffer, etc., if they don't support the same legislation that the Dems do. To say Palin is not in favor of clean water just really smells of a partisan cheapshot.
5. Sarah Palin calls herself a reformer, but on earmarks and the "Bridge to Nowhere," she is a hypocrite.
She has decreased spending since coming into office and reformed corruption in her own party. I don't know that either Palin or McCain has said they are completely against earmarks. If so, I retract that part of this statement.
6. Sarah Palin believes creationism should be taught in schools.
Also disproved...This was a lie put out there right after McCain selected her and was shown to be untrue several weeks ago.
7. Sarah Palin supports offshore drilling everywhere, even if it doesn't solve our energy problems.
Something on the order of 70% of Americans agree we should do offshore drilling and no one thinks it will completely solve our energy problems, so whoever came up with this didn't put the whole story out there. It will certainly help, though, along with things like oil shale, coal to oil, natural gas, wind, etc. These are the other things that Palin has consistently discussed and some of which she's already accomplished as Governor of Alaska.
8. Sarah Palin loves oil and nuclear power.
God bless her for this...We should be doing far more nuclear...Some countries in Europe, whose governments are considered far more "progressive" than ours, get a huge percentage of their power from nuclear plants. It is far less dangerous than most people know and the only reason we don't do more of this is because the nutjob environmentalists have everybody scared that there's a high possibility of another 7-Mile Island or Chernobyl disaster. The fact is that nuclear is most likely far cleaner for the environment than coal-powered electricity plants.
9. Sarah Palin doesn't think much of community activism; she'd much rather play insider political games.
She responded in kind to the Dems slamming her for only being a small town mayor and governor of a seemingly unimportant state. I haven't heard you complaining about that.
