Weakest cover of your favorite songs

Find the worst, lamest or just plain bad covers of songs you like.

Here's an instrumental, I'm sure there's a worse one out there but for now it'll do.

That Was Yesterday - Instrumental Cover

For an 8 bit cover, this actually sounds pretty good.

This is one of my favorite Journey songs, butchered.

I think Mariah Carrey has a great voice. She could do that song justice if she would just leave out the stupid runs and hip hop styling.

How about:

Sugar Ray "Is She Really Going Out With Him"
Sixpence none the Richer "Don't Dream it's Over"

These versions are considered core curriculum in "How to take a perfectly good song and turn it into complete shit" 101.

Freddie's not immune to the butchering. The lead guitar part is ok though.

I haven't heard the album but I did hear his covers live, and I quite enjoyed them. Granted, just like Revelation, the album might be a different story but I'll withhold comment until I hear it.

I don't consider it a cover, but it is weak. I like OTY and a couple of other songs on it, but overall, it wasn't done well at all. It was rushed and under-produced. A pretty sad effort. A lesser effort than Generations even.

This one's pretty bad... it's a cover of Sabbath's "Paranoid" by a band called "Ultraviolence"... it was on Earache's tribute to Black Sabbath... the album was called "Masters Of Misery", which had its ups and downs... but in my opnion, was mostly a good tribute album... much better than either of the Nativity In Black tribute albums, save for a few tracks on those.
