Journey(past and present) play all kinds of pop/rock/ballads with virtuoso musicians and vocalists. The key word IS musicality.
AC DC songs are for when you wanna drink. Journey songs are for when you wanna think.
Journey can rock hard when they want to and then lay back and be smooth.
Angus and Brian Johnson only have one trick.
Again, it ain't close. And the fact that AC DC is in the R&R Hall of Fame and Journey isn't, is a complete and utter freakin' joke.
I like AC DC, but compared to Journey, it's like comparing an old pick-up truck, to a Corvette.
Oh, please. Journey is for when you want to think? I can't believe someone actually said that.
The bottom line is AC/DC markets to the 'cool' brand. Journey markets to people who would rather listen to AC then a rock station. That is the way it is today. Actually, that was alsy the way it was with ROR and TBF.
Can Journey 'rock'. I suppose...but that is not who Journey caters to nowadays.
As for the HOF. AC/DC is there and Journey isn't because AOR bands are not politicaly correct enough to be voted in.
