That's the same thing Democrats said in 2000 and 2004...Obama is going to be President...Your, mine, ours...and I wish him well, pray he will be a great President and hope he does very well for us all.

The same as I did for every President that has been elected in my lifetime.

Exactly right. Especially as a Christian, my responsibility is to pray for the President and respect him due to the office he holds.

Christ, the man isn't even declared winner.(Give it another hour.) Obama won't take over until late January. Don't you think it's time to give the guy a chance once he has full possession of the United States to declare such ludicrous statements? Give the man a chance.

Agreed...However, considering the way some Democrats reacted when Bush won the last election, some people don't have a lot of room to complain (I'm not talking about you).

I will give him a chance and he will always be "President Obama" because I respect the office. I won't call him the names I hear spewed at McCain, Bush, Palin, and yes, Obama too. I just hope that he will move to the center with his policies, because if he does all he says he's going to do he's not going to do a good job in my eyes.

That's what always interests me. You can sit in two different groups, one Dem, one Republican, and you get the same doomsday talk if the other guy wins. Does that mean we are screwed either way? No. It means life goes on and whoever gets this job is starting with an economy falling apart. They are doomed for failure. They will probably get 4 years because of it. Good luck to whoever gets it, and it seems to be Obama from what I'm seeing.

Many of us will more life experience and more to lose (economically at least) see things in Obama's POLICIES that will hurt us and our families.

That isn't to say Obama isn't a good man...he is...I am EXTRAORDINARILY PROUD of my country that in my lifetime we have gone from killing black leader to electing one as President, and I am proud of Obama as well.

As I said before I don't like his policies and I think he is a good man.

I agree... to those who feel its a sin or morally wrong, let god judge - sinning is his territory - and if you aren't god, then STFU.

Listen...you may have a high IQ, but your comment was moronic! As for the whole socialism thing...You card carrying Republicans do realize that the U.S. Government has been taking over businesses on a Republican President's watch, right??? Hell at this point Obama probably has more money than the U.S. Government!

Here you go... http://www.indymac.com . That's a bank that I did business with for many years in the mortgage industry. Notice when you visit their website now that it says "IndyMac FEDERAL Bank". I guess that's not socialism if it happens on your president's watch! Unreal! Thanks to this meltdown, I suspect the government is on its way to owning far more entities than it should and that wouldn't have changed if McCain got elected!

I've changed my mind. Your IQ is probably a single digit. You are the poster child for why I despise partisan politics. Pay attention to the issues and stop blindly following candidates because they have an "R" (in your case) or "D" after their name! How the hell can you make a comment like "Obama wasn't arguing against it" when McCain called a fucking press conference to endorse the bailout and tell the world that he was going to rescue the country! What a dope! Incidentally, your user name on MR is quite apropos, because your mind is VERY scary!

Couldn't stand making this bad a choice, so I voted for a write-in ticket, AKA "MANILA and VANILLA"

The platform was simple: More jobs, bigger paychecks, cheaper gas, the return of real melodic ROCK to RADIO, and at least 4 more seasons of Smallville! I'm waiting patiently to hear the results, and you can check the history of our tough underdog campaign here:

Wow...you are a dope! Who the fuck said Obama was against it? I'm quite sure that both he and McCain are on record as being in favor of the bailout! I just think it's absurd and hypocritical of you to criticize Obama for supporting the bailout when your candidate supported it even more vigorously! Go find a new Republican to support. Maybe Puppet Palin will run in 2012. That should go well!

I have stated more than once on these threads that I was supporting teh lesser of two evils. Obama was in favor of this bail out which makes him status quo and no agent of change. Only, only, only... he's much worse. Spread the freaking wealth. Lets bankrupt the coal industry. Lets create national health care. God help us all.

I feel the same way. This election was hard. I don't like Obama's policies either, and I wasn't super excited to vote for McCain, but I did. But since Obama won, I truly hope those of you who did vote for him are right, and hope he will be a good President. Time will tell.

Well, first, no, I'm not liberal on everything. I'm just left of you, Adolf.

Churches will have to accept homosexuals? GASP! That would completely go against the churches' professed desire to be.....ACCEPTING!!

Actually Adolf was a socialist, which is left.

Technically, the nazi party was fascist...not socialist....politically, it's considered *far* right.

However, people should note that the political spectrum is really a bit of a circle. While there's a centrist-market hemisphere, the farther you go left, you'll eventually be on the right. It explains why alot of popular right-wingers whill find common ground with libertarians and libertarians will find common ground with green party members and other environmentalist whackos....
