Cool! ...I still spend a lot of time out in the NW burbs, I will try to catch a show sometime. I'd go see them at Nellie's on Sat night, but I've already got plans up in Lake Zurich and then in Lincolnshire that will have me tied up. :)

fightingillini, Do report back with stories/reviews! Pics, too, if you take any! :)

Looks like they may be playing at more places since they won the 95.1 WILL Rock Bandemonium...they sound really good - who knew?! He is the only one with a musical gene in all the families.

When Obama was elected president I was in my den watching the returns and expecting a long night..maybe even a hanging chad kind of night...SURPRISE!

Others were:

JFK being shot...I was with some friends having lunch, we were shocked and speechless.

The Challenger...I was at a friends house, we were interested because of the teacher aboard..again speechelss.

The OJ white bronco chase..again with friends. Sorry, but we thought that was a hoot.

9/11..we were living in Philly at the time. My hubby was out of town so I was alone when the plane hit the towers. I was scared shitless. Then the plane went down outside of Pittsburg, panic was all I remember..to this day I only remember 'Let's Roll'.

When obama was elected president....

I was in bed; watching the returns from the West Coast LIVE - at approx. 11:15PM ET. 8)

some 'other' remembrances....

1. I was in my car, driving to work, when the First Strike happened on 9.11

2. I was parking my car, after driving to work, when I heard the OJ Verdict.

3. I worked for a newspaper when I heard of Curt Cobain's suicide.

4. I picked up the phone to order pizza when I heard, "John Belushi is dead" on the radio.
