I bet you also write "niger" and "beener" and "joo" too (and I bet you use those a lot)

You are gloating......

Not at all. You are stonewalling. I told everyone here yesterday, that gloating would not at all be cool, and that everyone, Democrats and republicans alike, have tickets on the Obama train.

I am just mentioning IMO, an incredible fact in the NEWS. A VP candidate cannot name the NAFTA states? Can she name California's capitol I wonder? Or Minnesota's? Is she really that fucking dumb?

McCain should have picked someone entirely different-hindsight is 20/20...
but now we have Obama so why beat a dead horse?
Name one person on here that wants Palin as their President as you stated above?
I wanted Hillary.

Many here cheered Palin. Hell, look at one posters sig!

And, I might add, you said she "was a breath of fresh air." Yeah, all air, and nothing of substance. How the FUCK does a sitting governor not know Africa is a Country? And yet McCain thought her as a good choice? You have got to be joking.

On the flip side, she did answer the door to a Mac aide in a bath towel!

From Newsweek's Special Election Project comes the real Sarah Palin. She met staff members in a towel:

At the GOP convention in St. Paul, Palin was completely unfazed by the boys' club fraternity she had just joined. One night, Steve Schmidt and Mark Salter went to her hotel room to brief her. After a minute, Palin sailed into the room wearing nothing but a towel, with another on her wet hair. She told them to chat with her laconic husband, Todd. "I'll be just a minute," she said.

Awesome! Guess she doesn't need to know anything about NAFTA or how big a city Alabama is.

She is/was a breath of fresh air, but that's not saying we want her as President of the United States of America and the entire free world...
She's a mom from Alaska, rose in politics quickly and she has made a name for herself..end of story...for now....
She's a woman that is trying and I respect her for that. Most of the respected statesman are almost twice her age...
Was she prepared=no.

Good news is that we have a new President that can speak, is educated, seems totally motivated and will probably spruce up Air Force One
with an awesome set of spinners....

Do you find it interesting that the source of this info is anonymous? They are looking for someone to blame and Palin is the target. She wasn't their lapdog and whoever it was in McCain's organization that she pissed off, is trying to get revenge. All this stuff coming out is making whoever it is on the inside look like the idiot instead of Palin, in my opinion, and unless they come out and man up and let us know who it is, it doesn't seem very believable at this point.

Oh absolutely Dave. I completely agree that they are throwing her under the bus, and to do so anonymously is chickenshit, but they need their cushy political jobs in 2012. As Gunbot said though, it is true what she said. She hasn't disputed it, and even Fox News' Cameron whatever the fuck his name is reported it. I do find it laughable and sad that the McCain people are blaming her for their demise, as if they had the next Ronald Reagan there running or some shit. That's like Brady Quinn running smack against Bernie Kosar.

Agreed 100%

Like I said, I feel bad for her, as Mcfuck and his team of Mcfuckups are dissing her. It's not like he is all that smart or deft. That guy did some serious damage to his character and legacy. He lost alot of fans and admirers.

Cameron reported the story/rumors. He did not verify it as fact. That said, if she did say that, then running on the national stage isn't that hard apparently. Because by and large she did a good job. The main criticism for her was the bad interview with Couric. The Gibson interview wasn't that bad. She did well in the debate.

I've always been curious about this since I grew up an Air Force brat, I have lived overseas, etc. It's always amazed me that military service is not a requirement to even run for President, let alone become President. I know my father feels the same way, just curious to hear other military member's opinions 8)

There have been MANY presidents who haven't served in the U.S. military and some were even great presidents.

John from Boston

Yep, well aware of that. Obviously I'm in the minority with my thinking about military experience, and hey that's ok, lol. Thanks to those of you who answered though 8)

As JFB said, many pesidents didn't serve in the military and made real good foreign policy decisions and had good foreign policy records. Bill Clinton comes to mind. George W Bush really didn't serve either(was technically signed up for the Alabama Nat'l Guard where he spent a few weekends playing "go fish" and doing coke, and happened to miss the one weekend where physicals were conducted in order to get some pilots ready for combat), and look at his foreign policy record. You say you were an AF brat. Congrats, as your papa must be smart. The AF is where smart guys go. The Army sucked, I can tell you that first hand, and the Marines are even worse. Stu, relax, just saying there is no skating and fucking off in the Corps. The Navy and AF is where the flyboys hang, score tons of hot chicks and get to stay away from close range up close gun fire for the most part. My 18 yr old son told me last year that "an Army guy talked to him on campus at his high school" and he was thinking about going in. I told him, "the holy fuck you are. Not under this corrupt motherfucker in this bullshit war you're not." Needless to say, I won that argument, hands down.

Having military experience I think is a good thing though. John Kennedy, and George H W Bush were two guys who had good military backgrounds and had exemplorary military ops while in office. Much is who you surround yourself in Office with. W had Colin Powell. He is obviously very bright and knows his shit about military ops. I hope BO asks him to be Sec Def.

Thanks, I think having military experience is a good thing too, maybe because I grew up with it all around me, who knows. And thanks for complimenting my dad, lol. He wasn't a flyboy though, lol, he was enlisted and he was one of the ones who made sure the planes (B52's, F4's, F15's, F16's...) were safe to go up. He'd come home smelling like jet fuel, and has scars on his hands from his 25 years of that.

Still underreported:

http://www.suntimes.com/news/politics/o ... 08.article

Not everyone behaved themselves when celebrating U.S. President-elect Barack Obama’s historic win Tuesday night.

Some fired gunshots, a felon accused cops of arresting him “because a black man won for president” and a teenager standing with throngs of passionate revelers used the opportunity to slap a police officer, Cook County prosecutors said.

“White bitches. F--- McCain. You white police can’t do nothing,” 19-year-old Celita Hart taunted officers as she stood with a throng of Obama supporters in the 6900 block of South Western Avenue, Assistant State’s Attorney Lorraine Scaduto said in a court Wednesday. At some point, authorities said, Hart left the crowd, which had been chanting “Obama, Obama,” walked up to a squad car, and smacked a male officer in the face.

Hart was one of a half-dozen charged in Election Night-related arrests. A slew of others facing weapon and reckless discharge violations appeared in central bond court.

None of the incidents occurred in Grant Park, where Obama addressed a giddy crowd of 240,000 late Tuesday.

West Sider Narada Thomas, 23, told police he shot a .22-caliber revolver in the air to “celebrate Obama becoming president,” Scaduto said. And 37-year-old Andre Murph, of Aurora, shot a 9mm into the ground several times in the 700 block of West 60th Place to express his joy, Scaduto said.

“It was an exciting night,” Murph’s attorney James E. Thompson shrugged before Judge Israel Desierto.

While Kenneth Smith, a 24-year- old felon, never stated why he fired three rounds at his residence, in the 6700 block of South Ada Street, he complained that officers only arrested him “because a black man won for president,” Scaduto said.

Peer pressure seemed to get the better of 54-year-old Joseph Morgan, who allegedly was caught holding a .22-caliber gun in the air on his back porch in the 5700 block of South Lowe Avenue.

His excuse, according to prosecutors?

“Everybody else is shooting their guns, I figured, ‘Why not?’ ”

As big of a dope as Palin is, she can't be blamed for losing this election. Even if people didn't vote for McCain because of Palin (which I'm sure there were plenty of), it's still McCain's fault for not having enough common sense to select a running mate who was remotely qualified!

The bottom line is that McCain didn't lose this race...Obama won it. At this point, nobody can even claim he stole the election, given McCain didn't even get half as many electoral votes. Hell, they just announced that Obama won NC. I'm telling you as someone who lived in NC that if a black man can win the vote for POTUS in that state, then anything truly is possible! Did Reagan even win either of his elections by this big of a landslide?

Genius,

Reagan won in '84 with 49 states and with 59% (I believe) of the vote. If I recall correctly he only lost Minnesota by 4,000 votes which would've made it a sweep excluding D.C.

I'll have to go back but I think he won in '80 with 44 states. I'll verify.

Just a side note, Jackson's son, Jesse Jackson Jr. (the one who scolded Jackson for his comment about Obama talking down to black people), served as co-chairman of Obama's presidential campaign and is now being mentioned as a contender for Obama's US Senate seat.

Verified. He won in '80 with 44 states. In '84 it was 49 states with 58.8% roughly 59% of the vote and he lost Minnesota by fewer than 3,800 votes (Mondale's home state).

Absolutely Altered DNA, BUT....

You Cons are getting stupid again, at least the Fox News Cons are.

Saying Tuesday was NOT a landslide is simply wrong. In some ways, it was more of a true landslide than Reagan's victories.

Obama crushed the Old Man, AND, the Dems picked up 2 dozen House seats and a bunch of Senate seats. THAT is a landslide my friends.

I do not believe RR was able to get the GOP to win either House in his two monster wins. ??

1984 in a REELECTION which changes the dynamic of the argument, the Rs picked up 16 seats in the house but did lose a net 2 Senate seats.

I guess I'm not surprised he beat Mondale so handily. Even back then, I thought Mondale was a VERY weak candidate!
