I don't know anything about you, but your comments come off as VERY racist! You're proving that racism is still alive and well and always will be.

I believe a majority of Black Americans think of Barrack Obama as a Savior to/for the Black people. They think he will/can save them from all their problems and make everything better for them. When the time comes, when he has been in office long enough. And, when they find out he is unable to do all the things they want him to do, to make American a better place for Blacks, THEN they will start blaming the white people. they will say we arent allowing him to do the job he needs to do. And that we are holding him back for racist (black) reasons. That we are the cause of their oppression.

Thats what I said the first time, I just worded it differently this time.

That's why I didn't straight out call you a racist. I attacked your post but I wanted you to explain what you wrote, which you did.

First of all, he's a black American, not an "African American." Africa is a fucking continent (Someone send the memo to Palin  ). I don't run around purporting myself as European American so I think it's about time we end this whole "African American" bullshit.

MarcelJordan wrote:Whereas Mccain says its great day for African Americans.
McCain should have his Frankenstein-like face slapped for that comment for a few reasons. The reason I stated above being one. The other being that it would be equally absurd if I called the guy white!!! He's half of each race. And considering his father ditched him and his loose-legged mother, one could argue that he was raised in a caucasian setting much more so than a black one!!! But that would just open a big can of worms.

You are what you defend. As long as there are people out there that will call Obama a nigger or tarbaby, etc., he will, for all intensive purposes, be considered black.

I guess Im a racist? Is that what your suggesting, because of my words? The things I said are all things that I and many other White Americans have heard the Black Americans say many times on many occasions. Its in the Newspapers, Its in magazines and its been on TV.

Even Some Black Americans feel that a majority of Blacks have no one to blame but themselves for their problems. You should hear Bill Cosby speak about it. Or this man (James David Manning) http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=2swcr17DA ... re=related

I dont hate people. I hate that they try and blame others for the problems they created themselves. And then look for someone else to blame and fix it for them.
Bill Cosby, doesn't live check to check and doesn't have to worry about being the last one hired or the first one fired; He can say whatever he think will get him attention at the moment, Mr Cosby is the exception to the rule in the black American community; however, the average black American just as the average white American must struggle every day to get to a comfortable level in life this is the common factor that we all share, where this common factor starts breaking down is a solid foundation rooted by a solid education and access to available resources to allow the individual to become self sufficent. Not a handout; but sometimes a handup is all that is needed. Because believe it or not Most black people don't want White people to fix anything for us; we are capable of fixing our own problems with a handup not a handout. That starts with education, adequate health, jobs, proper housing (being able to live where ever) without being priced out to keep out (we know it still happens, this is the real world you know) It seem odd that black Americans or still being excluded by the system while at the same time some white Americans continue to speak about black people as if we don't want to be better and do better. Given a chance to do so in the mainstream level is what i'm speaking of, our people in the sports and entertainment level or not the same as our people on the mainstream level, not every black american can dance ,sing, act, shoot or run a ball and become wealthy; we have to depend on our ability to work at a regular job like everyone else. ( Oh! by the way the media fed thug life image, does not represent the average black american, we hate that crap as much as the next american does. it's fake and totally phony).

I agree. Also I AM NOT a racist. I know that there are probably just as many White Americans that blame the Blacks, the Hispanics and all the other races for thier problems too. Looking for the easy way out. THEY piss me off just as much as. I dont like ANYONE that uses others as a scapegoat for thier laziness.

I work and live paycheck to paycheck too. I struggle with my bills every week. Wondering if something will be shut off or if it will be reposessed. I work hard. But if I dont manage my own life in order to survive, thats MY fault. Im not going to blame another person. I just try and work harder. Even if it is a pain in the butt.

Those that blame others for thier problems, White OR Black are wrong. If all they do is complain and wait for someone else to fix it for them.

And this:
Given a chance to do so in the mainstream level is what i'm speaking of, our people in the sports and entertainment level or not the same as our people on the mainstream level, not every black american can dance ,sing, act, shoot or run a ball and become wealthy; we have to depend on our ability to work at a regular job like everyone else.

could apply to pretty much any race.

200 across is the limit I put on mine. Anything bigger throws everything out of whack. My a/v is smaller at the moment but for a group pic, 200 should be okay.

Sorry, Tragchick It is a wonderful speech, If he drop some words on our estranged allies like the ones in this speech; it's going to be a lovefest again. I will always believe that GWB picked the wrong people to work with him; people who didn't have his best interest in their hearts. To my last day I will always feel that some of his advisors and staff did their best to make him look foolish to the people of this country and the world. After Jan. 21st GWB should go look up everyone who set him up and kick their butts, then go back to Texas sit back kick up his feet toss a bud lite back and enjoy the rest of his life and know that he did the best he could dealing with all that was thrown at him practically from the time he stepped into the oval office.JMO

Gosh, AnnPea, I love most of your posts. But it sounds like you're absolving George W. of all responsibility and blaming the big bad men he picked for his administration. Poor little Georgie. He was our Commander-In-Chief. Come on. Though he wasn't the smartest president we've ever had  .

Sorry, AnnPea. One more question.

When you said, "To my last day I will always feel that some of his advisors and staff did their best to make him look foolish to the people of this country and the world," is it their fault he rarely sounded intelligent in any of his speeches? I think he did a pretty good job making himself "look foolish" when he couldn't pronounce words correctly.

Concerning President Bush:

To all the snobs who believe eloquence of speech is a sign of superior intellect, it's not. Any monkey can reguritate well written monologues, they're called ACTORS.

Well formed speech comes down to mechanics. There are people with speech impediments whose mind flows on to the page. Conversely, there are people with perfect speech who can't come up with an original thought to save their life. Would you call a deaf person stupid?

It has nothing to do with being a snob, you dope! Expecting the President Of The United States to be able to deliver a speech isn't asking too much, in my opinion! Nobody is suggesting that just because someone is eloquent means that he or she is a poltiician for the ages. I simply prefer the President to be able to sound a bit more intelligent than the average 5th grader!

Also, your comparison of W. and a hearing impaired person is just fucking stupid! Those who are hearing imparied can't speak for reasons that are medically related and beyond their control. W. is supposedly Ivy League educated and really shouldn't find pronouncing two syllable words to be that arduous of a task! Incidentally, being educated and not having to take a "Hooked On Phonics" lesson to speak three sentences doesn't make someone a "snob"!

Yeah...because it's much better to have the leader of our nation sound like a complete dope in front of the entire world! If W. worked at Wal-Mart, I would agree with your sentiment. When a guy is the leader of the free world, I actually think it does matter that he come across as a bit more educated than all of us common folk, that he's supposed to be leading!

i do think obama has above average intelligence. it takes a smart person to realize they don't know everything and seek the wisdom of others when needed. he ran a beautiful campaign. compare obama's reaction/response to the knee jerk reaction/response by mccain to the economic crisis.

Clinton proved that if you surround yourself with intelligent people you can over come your own shortcomings. Many of us in the service were concerned about Clinton's inexperience in military affairs. When the situation escalated in Haiti, he rose to the task and really impressed us. I am sure he took guidence from his advisors and it paid off in that instance.
