It's the day before week 10, Id figure I'd start this bad-boy up now and post all the games for this Sunday..(ESP since I'm IN THE HOUSE IN HEINZ FIELD AGAINST INDY!! UHOH!!!!) Since we're keeping track of the W-L's for fun competition, I think it could be fun on slow Sundays for a good amount of people to join in.

We can pick all games, but only pick Pick 5 games total/ 1 upset that you want to count for your week.

I predict the Bengals and Cowboys won't actually lose this week

As for the games....

I love NE over Buffalo this weekend. Even this shitty version of the Patriots won't lose at home to the Bills! (Count)

New Orleans and Atlanta is a tough one. While I love Drew Brees, the Saints' defense is DREADFUL. The Falcons and Matt Ryan are legit. That said, I think the Saints pull it out. (Count)

Baltimore beats Houston. Sage Rosenfels against the Ravens' D. Enough said!

Jacksonville beats Daunte Culpepper and the Lions, because everyone beats Detroit! (Count)

Carolina beats Oakland, because everyone beats Oakland!

I like Miami over Seattle (I can't believe I'm picking Miami).

I like the Jets over the Rams because as bad as Favre has been, the Rams have no defense and he'll exploit that!

My upset pick this week is Indy beating Pittsburgh. I think Pittsburgh has the better team but I just think Manning goes on the road and pulls one out this week! (Count)

I also love the Eagles to defeat the Giants this week, even though the Giants are the better team.

Arizona smacks the 49'ers around again, and hopefully Singletary keeps his drawers on this week!

I like Green Bay to beat Minnesota.

San Diego beats Kansas City, easily! (Count)

Finally, I've been saying it for weeks, so can't change my opinion now...My second upset special of the week is Chicago handing Tennessee their first loss of the season. Kerry Collins is a below average QB who hasn't faced a defense like Chicago's this season. Because of that, I think he makes some mistakes and the Bears take it!

Greenbay over Minnesota. Green Bay stood with the best last week in Tennessee-AT Tennessee and now they take that itch into Minnesota against one of the most disappointing teams in the league. Minn is a team noone can figure out, and at least we know Green Bay can play good ball, and they already beat Minn in the season opener. Frerotte is playing good, but Adrian Peterson will struggle out the gates and Rodgers has a big game against a so-so defense. Green Bay gets that big win inside of the division.
Green Bay by 13.

New England over Buffalo. Buffalo is starting to look like an average team the last couple of weeks, and NE seems to be playing well under Cassell.. well enough to win a big game against Buffalo. NE played INDY well last week, and if not for a dropped TD pass, could have won in the dome. Bellicheck is awesome after his team lose's and will have them ready to knock around a division foe who he has a number on.. in his house. NE by 17.

Pittsburgh over Indianapolis. If Peyton was having happy feet at time against NE's defense, then he will have no chance against the most aggressive defense in the league to even think about pumping his legs. I predict at least a 7 sack day for the Stillers, and it has been proven that that line in Indy can't man up to block the front line in Pittsburgh. Bob Sanders is back in the secondary, but will be a non factor. Look for the ground game to pick up against Indy's D and for Moore to have a big game. Manning will air it out all game long and look for the D to feast on him. Pittsburgh by 20.

Jacksonville over Detroit. Last weeks upset special won't be happening against Jax this week. Embarrassed, Jacksonville will be out to prove that they are no sissy's, and that last week's loss against Cinci was a flat out, fluke. Detroit is all but hungry for their first W, and since Cinci took it to Jax last week, that gives the Lions hope. Lions flat out SUCK and can't finish off a win against my high school team. Granted, I think Cinci can beat Det by at least 30 points. Taylor and Jones-Drew have a huge day.. for once.Jacksonville by 21

UPSET SPECIAL:

St.Louis over the Jets. Favre's Jets haven't been impressing me all that much, and I expected much more out of Favre and his offense going into this season. Still, with him on the team, they are THAT MUCH BETTER. Jackson is hurt for the Rams, but look for Bulger to light it up. If Oakland can have their way with the Jets D, then Bulger can put up some points, and get a big win on the road for the franchise. Rams by 4.

I honestly thought this was the week the Titans fell asleep at the switch. Looking ahead on their schedule, they should beat every team left on their schedule, except Pittsburgh. They have a very easy schedule left, with the exception of that final game. I still think they will lose a game or two before the end of the season. I love the Titans' defense, but am still not sure they can get by a team like Pittsburgh in the playoffs! Let's see how they react to the inevitable pressure in the next two weeks when the whole country starts focusing on the fact that they are still undefeated!

Does anyone fault Herm Edwards for going for the win instead of a tie? I thought if they got the kickoff in overtime, the Chiefs offense would be capable of driving down for at least a fieldgoal. Did Herm think his defenses was toast? I can say one thing, the Chargers defense looked terrible against one of the worse offenses in the league. Promoting Rivera did not provide the answer they were looking for.

I agree. At this point, I actually want them to lose, so they can get the monkey off their back. I agree that the Pitt game looks tough ( I think Indy at home also is gonna be tough). But watch- they'll lose to the friggin Texans, or some such.

I don't. The Chiefs are 1-8 and their season was over before it started! They had nothing to lose by trying to win the game. Shanahan did it earlier in the season and won a game by doing it. I do know after watching this game that the Chargers are a fucking fraud, even if they do win that AWFUL division they're in! That team BLOWS and Tomlinson has turned into a complete stiff! I hate them and their whiny fans, so I'll enjoy watching them struggle to make the playoffs and then get their asses handed to them in the first round, if they make it. Fortunately, for Chargers fans, Norv will get fired after this debacle of a season! Both the Chargers and the Cowboys will fall on their face at the end of the season and both of their coaches will be fired immediately. You heard it here first!

Collins will never be the reason for any success. The guy is a journeyman QB for a reason. Tennessee has a VERY good defense, and I LOVE Chris Brown! That said, they have the worst group of receivers in the NFL, and I just don't know if their defense is going to be enough to get them by, come playoff time. If they have to face a team who can actually score some points, they'll never be able to keep up with the offense they have. Their hope will be their defense being able to completely shut down opposing offenses. I just think the laughable schedule they have played will hurt them in the playoffs.

Just got back from Heinz. Wind was crazy and that left the bitter cold punching us in the face. Steelers I thought played well up until Ben's horribly 2 horrendous interceptions that led to touchdowns. There were 3 tipped passes that the fluke Indianapolis caught..one for a touchdown. Defense can't do it all in Pittsburgh, and by the way the offense is slowly sputtering who is out of sync with so many injuries spells trouble. Ben better start looking like the '07 Ben rather than the '06 Ben. The time for this offense is ticking as it gets a lot tougher down the stretch. No running game in this NFL means no play-action, which takes a toll on a quarterback. Perfect example of this was 1st and goal on the 5. All run plays..stuffed. I hope INDY enjoys that gift wrap in their holiday Christmas bag.

My upset special was so putrid and so bad as of how great my last week upset looked. 47-3? wow. I laughed this one off.

I said Adrian Peterson would be slow out the gates. He ran for almost 200 yards and Aaron Rodgers sucked. Green Bay has a good shot at winning this game, though.

We all knew JAX and NE would play well.

At Sunday Night I'm at 2-3, best I can do is a 3-3 split.

Johns 4-2 for the week, and 8-3 overall. If the Cards win tomorrow I'm 8-3 with him, but if I lose I'm 7-4. How things change in one week

I've decided my new wish for this season is to see the pathetic Lions go winless! I've never witnessed a team going winless in a season. Miami ruined my hope last season, but after watching Detroit, I think they suck bad enough to pull it off. One of the early games put a stat up of the 4 longest winning streaks against one team in the history of the NFL. Three of the four teams have that streak against the Lions! Unreal!

Even in a loss, I think you should feel good about this one, Maui. The way they played for Singletary tonight in arguably the hardest place to play in Arizona, is a step in the right direction. Hell, listening to Singletary and watching him on the sidelines makes me want to fly to San Fran and play for the guy. One helluva leader and it will be one helluva turnaround for this team with him at the helm.

It seems like Warner is finally getting his due by waiting many years in the wings. Arizona was a bad team when he first arrived there, and the presence of Matt Leinart messed with his game a bit, esp. after Whiz toyed with the two the last 2 seasons. Now that Warner has his timing with the guys and feels noone breathing down his neck, he can play ball...and he's showed for years he can play at this level at his age. It's remarkable, and I love watching the guy as well. Can't help but like him. I wouldn't say he's not getting the credit he deserves since he is a front runner for MVP, but there's no doubt he's underrated when it comes talking about the greats.
