One offs

Some good bands came and went with only one or two releases. Let's see how many we can share here.

Mine of course will be:

Shadow King

Hm, I was going to say:

The Fray - How To Save a Life

So far, these guys have written THE BOOK about how to ride out the success of a popular album. They had three or four strong singles off the album (and deservingly so), which have been featured in numerous TV shows/movies etc. not to mention getting heavy radio play, grammy nominations and god knows what else. That album came out three years ago and little had been said about a new album until recently, when they announced that their new album was coming sometime in 2009... either way, pretty long turn-around for a young, poppy piano-rock band.

So you're saying that's a good band that went away too soon? LOL, don't think so. That's about as RICK ROLL as you can get without Rick. :)

I'm leaning more towards this:

HSAS - Missing You

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fBiRl6-0_EE

HSAS - Through The Fire

Even though they continued, I consider the Hardline with Schon a one off so that's another.

Neat to see April Wine's Just Between You and Me played twice in the first top 60. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcNACaKY3I4

Saw them back in May, and probably going to be see them again New Year's Eve. Great band, still going strong. :)

I see were they started in the mid 70's. I'm surprised they didn't have a few more mainstream hits once they got on MTV but it looks like they closed up shop around 1987.
